Im aware of the issue and expieriencing it too... Looking for a solution but I think it has to be on the carrier side of things since outgoing text timestamps are fine but not incoming...

Here is a cab to fix the 2016 SMS bug.

NOTE: You must soft reset after installation AND delete all SMS threads which contain the incorrect 2016 date.

I did install and soft reset and full power off. still displays with the 16 for me. am i doing something wrong?

sure does! try deleting the thread. new messages should have the correct date.

same here! and there is a timestamp on the texts i send but only the date on the texts I receive. so frustrating!
