There is a way to do it by messing with the registry. I don't remember exactly how to do it but it has something to do with creating this registry setting:

HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila
change value in "DefaultBrowserIsIE" to "1"

I'm flashing 28005 standard right now. I'm going to give Opera 9.5 18152 a spin to see how it works. Not sure if I'll be able to answer your questions, but I am assuming you're asking because you're afraid it make jack up your phone right? But I will be able to tell you if that build works properly after installed.

I think I will go ahead and give it a shot. I just came over from juicy's rom to see the newest builds out there. I guess if opera causes a problem I can just do a hard reset. I will do it first that way the phone is not all setup.

opera 10 is just way too buggy for me right now. I hope some new updates comes soon.

Yea I agree. Plus I like using the zoom bar! I just finished installing the provisioning and other essentials (like keyboard fix) about to install Opera 9.5, I'll post how that goes.

FYI enjoying xperia x2 task manager, it's not perfect but better than that showcase/other solutions there were out there before.

Now if only there was a fix for the HTC volume skin... plain vanilla winmo volume is giving me winmo2003 flashbacks

no zoom bar unfortunetly. I know this is a rom thread but I really want to know if anyone can tell me how to put the onscreen zoom control on the bottom left in opera. I asked in another thread and no one came back with an answer.

This rom does seem pretty solid. Haven't tried mms yet though.

You mean no zoom bar function for opera 9.5? There is a reg edit for that lemme see if I can get it working on my phone before I post it.
EDIT: I ran the Opera 9.5 build 18152 cab, soft resent, and the zoom bar works flawlessly. I didn't have to do anything. Also, the install automatically made Opera 9.5 the default browser (meaning when you click on Opera and "launch browser" from the manila internet tab it launches opera 9.5). So far I am liking this build 28005 standard (my biggest issues previously with 28xxx was being stuck with opera 10, and no htc task manager) This x2 task manager isn't bad. I need to run more stuff to see how this build holds up, but so far it looks like a winner.
UPDATE: I did this on build 21877, and it worked as well.
