Hmmm my home screen doesnt display the full weather animation like that even when im using the default background is there something special i need to do?

After flashing 23081, I get to the initial EnergyRom logo and a blank desktop. After sitting for 10 min, I finally did a reset. When it came back up, it loaded into the desktop, but programs were not loading. I did a wipe device, and again it got stuck on the energyrom screen.

I never see the screen calibration or auto-configure as I had with the TP versions. I'm DLing the 21864 now to see if the problem goes away.

most newer roms have auto screen calibration upon start up on a hard reset or flash, so thats probably that part......

I had the same issues with 23081. Tapping on the screen all over helped once, but never after that. I went to 21864 for a couple of flashes, then back to 23081 and it worked OK. Weird.

okay manila 2.1 once again froze up memory jumping up to 70% some kind of memory leak going on.

No amount of tapping would get the screen off of the dim mode. The only thing that brightened it up was sliding open the keyboard. After a soft reset, it would go to the basic Windows desktop, with a London time zone, and radio turned off. Hmpf. Just flashing 21864 now... fingers crossed.

Yea, it only does it when the screen refreshes. To get the effect to appear, hit the start button, and then choose Today at the top left. It will also usually refresh upon closing things etc.

Success! With 21864, I heard the active sync ding-dong, followed by the customizations and a reboot. Just like the good 'ol days...
