Exactly. I just checked it on my stock rom and was able to turn it back on through the On/Off switch.

I'm reinstalling the NRG rom now to test the MMS settings. SPB Backup makes it easy enough to go back to the stock rom w/o any setup time.

That is NOT a lot of GPS programs. HTC GPS Tool is small but usefull. QuickGPS was included in the stock ROM, and is necessary. ChartCross GPS Test is a vital GPS testing tool. Google Maps is a necessity.

MSN Stuff
That is required. You can't say that's bloat, that's just rediculous. Many many Windows Mobile users use Live Mail, that's why we got Windows phones!

Radio App
Yea, but maybe it'll work on CDMA someday. I'm sure everyone would love it if it did work on CDMA!

Opera Mobile View
Did you even try enabling Desktop View? I'm quite sure it's already enabled, but go to the menu, Settings -> Display -> Uncheck "Mobile View"

CommManager
It does what you say! Maybe you don't know how to use it? You click on, say, Bluetooth, and it takes you to the bluetooth settings. And you can never turn ON your Data. It's always been that you can only turn data OFF.
I guess I just feel like the programs other than QuickGPS could be installed by the end user if they want them. 99% of users won't use anything other than QuickGPS and Google Maps.

As for the MSN stuff, again, that should be an optional install. This is a "professional" phone. Thus, many people are using exchange, hosted email, or services other than Hotmail. That should be an optional package. I've used Bing from time to time, but for some reason on the NRG ROM, the "My Location" option would never work.

Since the Radio App presently doesn't work, why keep it in the rom? It's bloat. If in the future a radio chip is found and enabled, the rom could be modified to add the radio app.

I haven't tried the opera mobile view setting. I'll check it out here in a few minutes.

As others have said, that is not the default behavior of the CommManager in 6.1. Since I don't have a phone with a stock 6.5 rom, I can't say if the behavior was modified.

I've taken screen shots of everything like that in 6.1 and I'll compare it with this 6.5 build.

My opinion still stands regarding all the extra GSM stuff that was left in the rom and could have been taken out.

Even though I have an Exchange server, I still trust and rely that Windows Live will be on the phone. I use it for my support@thewingster account, and for IMing people, when they have questions about flashing. I'm sure plenty of others use it too. So, Windows Live is pretty important. And anyways, isn't a phone supposed to have your personal life, too??? Business AND personal?

Is anyone gonna report if the New Verizon MMS Fix works or what?....

TELL ME IF IT WORKSSS! Restart your phone, just in case. It'd be best if it was installed on a fresh ROM, without any other MMS stuff done to it, you know.

But, just try it, and report back. This has all the stock Registry from the Verizon ROM, and that had some things that looked like they would make a diff.

I tried the updated MMS cab. It doesn't allow me to sent messages at all. The previous cabs would allow sending just not receiving. Seems like there is more digging to be done.

I use Gmail for personal email on the phone. So that's taken care of by the imap pusher service or google sync. I use Palringo (when it connects) for talking to friends on AIM, etc.

Hmm, really. That's weird. Try messing around with the Arcsoft Server settings, and see if you can get anything to work, k? Try different connections, etc.

I took screen shots of the 6.1 connections on my stock rom. The connections weren't the same on the Energy rom. I tried adding a "Verizon Wireless" connection. It would add, but everything defaulted back to "My ISP". I could never make the Verizon Wireless connection stick as the default. It seems like something in the CommManager is broken too. As I said, clicking on the Data Connection does not take me to its settings. It doesn't do anything. In 6.1, it goes to the "Verizon Wireless" settings.

I've already flashed back to the stock rom and am restoring my backup. The weekend is almost up and I need a fully working phone. lol I'll have more time to play hopefully next weekend.

Could you at least post the screenshots of the Verizon connection settings that you have? That could be very helpful to us. Thanks!

Sure can. The Verizon Wireless screen and everything after that is what comes up when you click on the Data Connection in Comm Manager. Clicking on the Data Connection in the NRG rom does nothing.
