No, I should have been a little more clear.

One of the features of PowerSMS is to schedule a text to go out at a specific time. I use the feature all the time to send myself a text as a reminder of something I don't want to forget to do etc.

This is MUCH easier than scheduling an event in the calendar app. The problem is, the text/reminder is coming in to me but it gives no indication whatever that it has arrived. It does not give a task bar notification or audio alert & it does not show a text bubble on the messaging icon like it should.

I thought it wasn't working at all, but then I realized all the reminders where there just sitting in the WM messaging inbox.

~John

Got it. I dont use the feature though, but I do use powersms. I use it to SMS other ppl at a certain time, and to see how many sms i have used. It's great when you want somebody to think you're up early but all you did was schedule an early SMS. LOL.

So MMS works now eh? Might have to try this ROM again. Been on Mighty for a while but loved Manilla 2.5.

MMS working on Juicy R3 Telus using WM app after entering correct server info. HTC app broken as expected, even after entering MMS server info.

Youtube sound not working. Or should say VERY intermittent. Sometimes works randomly after soft reset. Streaming from m.youtube.com works randomly too - lots of times it stops at buffering... Tried turning volume down and up before using app...

The "Open Online Album" function, as others have stated, doesn't work. Albums are listed correctly, but both thumbnails and photos aren't displayed.

While editing a contact profile and trying to add a photo, clicking "Facebook Profile photo" removes the link in manila to their facebook profile.

Other than that, fairly decent ROM. Had a few complete freezes. But love the new 2.5 - can't wait til its glitch free.

The app "SelectRadio" works perfectly for Sirius. The price on it is ridiculous ($25 for one PPC & it's not transferrable unless it's a warranty replacement) but I bought it on the spot after trying it.

I listen to channel 124/the NFL channel every day at work & listening through Skyfire works but was not a legit option for me. It is a ROYAL PITA to sign in with Skyfire, the sound quuality blows, it skips & buffers a lot & it KILLS your battery.

SR gets around all these things somehow. It saves favs & all I have to do is open the app & with one click I am connected to my channel (I don't know how they managed it, but you don't even have to type in a captcha).

The program does TONS of other things like Podcasts etc but all i care about is Sirius & it works AWESOME for that.

haha, I don't know. I always find it strange that the same ROM is so different from everyone. Like take for example: I've never had youtube problems. It's always worked for me..and I've never had auto-locking either. I haven't seen it even in R0. Funny stuff

weird, that app stopped working for everybody on sirius two days ago when sirius changed their log-in system.

The last few pages of that thread talk about that.

Are you sure you're not listening to XM??

This is one of my favorite programs but I can't get it to work right.

When I schedule an SMS, it comes through fine & goes into the default Windows messaging (not the manila app). The problem is, I get no notification whatever that it is there. If I open messaging, the text is there but I get no taskbar notification & no audio signal even though I get notifications just fine if someone else sends me a text??

~John

I just tried this. Same thing, no audio notification and my sms count didn't go up, nor did the stat count in PowerSMS. The message did wake up my phone and appear on my screen using S2U2.

I tried the Note to Self option it does the same thing. You can use Google Voice as a work around if you have it. Send the sms to your GV # and it will be forwarded to your phone. I haven't tried it but it might work.

I can confirm cApSiro works from the XM side...I used it today both with this free program and SelectRadio with no issues...but can't comment on the Sirius side, which is where you appear to be having the issues...

I know it still works for XM, I can sign into my brothers XM account just fine.

Sirius changed their log-in system a few days ago & ALL the 3rd party apps like cApsiro stopped working at that point. The cApsiro thread had 2-3 pages of people unable to use it for sirius at this point.

SelectRadio stopped working also, but they came out with a fix one day later.

Since XM & Sirius are the same company now, don't be too surprised if the same thing doesn't happen soon to the XM log-in............

this mms thing is turning into such a pain in the a**

peculiar thing about the new beta from Opera...

I installed it to my SD card...fully expecting it to function as a stand alone app...when I clicked the internet button on my internet tab in manila...it took me to the beta. Same goes with my favorite "panels" and the search function on that tab.

now I wish there is some way to uninstall the opera that was cooked into the device...and give me some more memory back to play with.

I know its cooked in..and can't be removed..but maybe we can have a feature like the provisioning allowing us to choose which Opera to cook in.

I like what Juicy is doing with his ROM's but I enjoy the freedom I have from cooking my own w/ a kitchen.

Well hell, that sucks.

I have been using this app since my xv6800 days, it has always been one the first apps I reinstall after a flash.

I don't have GV, so I guess I'll have to find another option.....

Thanks for checking it out anyway.. :-)

the new beta is quite promising, but I don't think it's ready to replace whatever version of Opera is cooked into your ROM at this point.

Nothing like that. If you've tried it that many times, perhaps try downloading the ROM again from scratch and reflashing. Remember to clear storage afterwards.

I tried sending the SMS to Google Voice and it works, but with a glitch. Have you been able to schedule an SMS without any problems? Everytime I tried, PowerSMS indicated the message was sent, but in fact it wasn't. When I manually send an SMS through HTC messaging only then did the scheduled SMS get sent. But when I sent an SMS to myself it went through as scheduled, but with no notification. Go figure.

I have only tried sending messages to myself (that is what I use it for 99% of the time). When I do that, they get delivered just fine but they don't show up in manila messaging. The message comes in, but there is no way I would know it has arrived as it does not show up anywhere (it is in the WM inbox, but until I manually open up that inbox & look in it I would never know it was there) & there is no notification whatever.

The new manila 2.5 has to be messing it up as it worked fine when I was running Mighty ROM.
