I was more curious if there was a cab or reg edit that made the Messages tab open the text in the Windows style messaging interface, thus making the tab usable.

nope if there was juicy would of included it in the rom..

...a couple of pages back there is a method to use both native and Htc app simultaneously

Juicy, been meaning to post about this for a while. I tried searching this thread to see if I could find a post about BT issues being resolved but couldn't find anything obvious or quickly....

Regardless...a huge thankyou as all of my BT woes seemed to disapear around R5. Now, I missed R4 so I'm not sure exactly when this got fixed, for me at least, but my H710 headset hangs up perfectly everytime with a single press of the headset button now with R5, and R6 too. MSVC is a lot quicker to respond now too, and seems to accept my responses quicker too e.g. when I say "Yes" to a prompt I no longer need to pause before I say it so she understands me!!!

This was a huge PITA before. My bluetooth never worked reliably from day one, so this is a big plus in my books!!! Don't know what you did, but thanks!

Ummm... where did you see this?

I keep up with this thread and I must have missed that.

There are 2 things I want to accomplish with HTC SMS enabled:

1) Have the 'All Messages' soft key take me to WM messaging instead of HTC.

2) Retain threaded SMS in WM messaging even while HTC messaging is enabled.

If someone can make these 2 things happen for me, I will be your biggest fan.

* Instead of #1, I'm also cool with a long press physical button to take me to WM messaging (like the windows button). Anyone know how to assign those long press buttons? They don't show up under SETTINGS>BUTTONS.

You would have to use something like the Rhodium Keyboard Controller to map a long-press key. Then search around the TP2 forum for those words and you'll find a wealth of tips and tricks for everything you can do with that app.

This will enable all options except for the repeat. There is a way to do that, just haven't found it yet...and personally I wouldn't use it myself.

FYI, if you're curious what the other {...} keys are for, go to them one by one and look at the "Default" value. It's a string value and is used to describe what the key is for e.g. "Message: New message" is what's shown for this particular key. You'll find all of the other keys for the other notifications in the Sound and Notifications drop down e.g. New e-mail message, Reminders, etc.

any idea yet how to enable all options including repeat??

since htc messaging is disabled in R6, does that mean the text shortcuts on the contacts tab don't work anymore? i think this was the case if you manually disabled htc messaging... or did juicy find a way around that?

Well I gave ya a thanks because you still did present a temp fix which I did learn was temp after resetting my phone. I usually do leave my phone on for a while so this fix should be fine for now. Was gonna tell everyone sorry for getting their hopes up.

The only other issue that I would like to see working that was working is R4 is sprint TV. Still looking for a fix for that, gonna check all the posts after mine here to see if there was something. Youtube doesn't play videos but skyfire works fine for that. With the new updates, I'm using skyfire over opera and it's working great.

Have a good day all.

I had the same problem with my TP2, if you flash a different ROM and the problem persists, then you might need a new device. If you have Sprint, sign up for total equipment protection, wait 24 hours, then go in and request a new phone.

Then again, my TP2 only would charge when connected to a PC, even the A/C outlet was a no-go.

No issues for me charging... I'm on Juicy R3 and both PC and home chargers appear to work fine... I've also had no issues with the auto charger... speaking of R3, can anyone tell me if there is a compelling reason to move to R6 at this point? It seems like some things get fixed and then inadvertently other things get broken along the way... this happens on pretty much every ROM and I think Juicy is the best, but I have MMS working in R3, it's stable and fast... I've seen the change logs but don't feel compelled to switch quite yet...

Also, can anyone help with another issue... thread is too long to search for some terms that are common... I have not made any registry tweaks, yet the animated weather stopped working out of the blue a few days ago... can anyone tell me how to activate it again? Thx

The only time i've seen this happen was one time I installed a taskbar, didn't like it and uninstalled it.

My phone wouldn't charge anymore.

AFter soft reset it would work, although after the phone was running for a bunch of hours, it would stop working again.

I had no choice but to hard reset :(

I've run into issues with charging if I used an older battery driver like no2chem's, as it wasn't designed for newer builds of Windos Phone.

Does anyone know how to restart weather animations? I'm on R3 and don't recall making any reg tweaks or installing anything that should interfere, but animations randomly stopped a few days back...I tried searching but the term is so common and the thread is so long it was taking forever...hoping somebody has an easy solution... I already explained to people on how to activate the Htc Messaging Client where is doesnt lag and to have it that and the native client used at the same time for MMS use. A couple a pages back tells you how to fix the broken links and basically have use of you Contacts Tab where as if i isnt installed nothing really works(links are broken). Its a decent fix and i have over 100 of texts save on my phone and im not reporting any lag yet or freeze up. Try it and see if its for you before you complain here guys.:king:

just a quick, probably dumb, question. when you plug your phone in via usb to your pc and you select internet sharing, are we good to go on that without any additional charges? i know we can use the wifirouter, i just wasnt sure about tethering with the usb. it says im connected via CDMA1X.

Your post just brings the state back to pre R6, which is cool, but hitting "all messages" still takes you to the HTC client, not the WM client.

I don't understand how you are claiming there is no lag anymore - we are just reinstalling the same exact laggy htc messaging that Juicy removed. I tried it and its still unusable and laggy...

Its great that you created an HTC messaging cab though - big props for that and thank you. I just don't understand how its supposed to be an improvement over R5.

If we can have the default messaging be WM - ie when you click on a message it will take you to the native SMS thread and clicking "All Messages" would take you to the native one as well - and have HTC messaging enabled at the same time for viewing under profile tabs, I think we could have the best of both worlds.

100txts isnt that much. i do that many usually by lunch time. get up to 500 or more in the htc messaging app and its gets laggy. every rom that features the htc messaging app has this lagginess when the txts start acculmulating

Been away all day so hadn't had a chance, doing it now for ya bud. Will report back what I see. Thanks for the work on sharing.

Definitely like it. Will have to examine the files to see how you accomplished some of it like moving things into the folders etc. Very slick. After I soft-reset and was waiting for TF to come up screen went black and I haven't gotten it back. Am sure it will probably return after a soft-reset. But very impressive. Thanks for the hard work, I am sure others would be excited to see the customization.

Edit: Took a few soft-resets to get it to boot properly, but after that it runs very well, good memory free. Love the task manager you incorporated. Love the folders. Love it all. Very slick. Thanks for all the hard work and sharing.

Wow, I guess the TP2 does use more (Or show less usable) RAM. With my own ROM running on my TP, with Sense 2.5 on I have 120Mb free...

Anyone know of a better media player than CorePlayer to use with this rom?

Core Player plays movies flawlessly on the Qtv output setting, but I'd never watch a movie on my phone - I'd use it to hook up to TV's.

Problem is on TP's and TP2's, core player does this very obtrusive blue flickering on the TV screen when connected to TV out, and the other settings like Direct Draw just don't compare in quality and frame rate. Doesn't seem like CorePlayer has any plans of fixing the bug as people have been complaining for over a year. Apparently some TP2 roms don't have this problem...

Any suggestions?

Yeah, it is threaded.

WM SMS is just not seamlessly integrated like in 2.1 - clicking on the manila text preview won't take you anywhere, for example.
