This is caused by a little proximity sensor near the earpiece of the phone. The only way to turn it off is to make a regedit that completely kills the HTC dialer

There is an instant messaging program. Look in the 'Messaging' folder in the start menu for MSN Messenger. I use it all the time. Works fine and remembers your username and password if you tell it to

But also to add to your answer...Mike always makes his ROMs with the usual stock apps and nothing more...thus allowing the user to customize and add to it as they want...something that so many people take for granted...

I still use beejive...sure palringo has the whole voice thing..but you shouldn't be IMing people when you're driving anyways!

this is very weird...somewhere somehow someway along the line, HTC Sense just "broke" on me. Won't load but keeps saying it is. It's been sitting on the "Loading HTC Sense..." screen for 5 minutes.

Soft resets won't do anything...don't know watsup with it but yea..guess I'll wait for the new ROM before I do a hard reset and just stick it out with Titanium till that new rom drops

Try going into settings and make sure Sense is checked. Put it to Titanium and then back to Sense.

I have a huge problem with the SMS text program freezing my phone up. Is there anyway to fix that problem.

Best thing to do is just have your phone plugged in when using palringo lol...but I will agree as well its a decent app...although I still think they can tweak the interface a little more...I have hear IM+ is good and I think there is a lite version that is free on the Marketplace...I haven't tried it though

Yea I've done it several times, it would actually just freeze. Funny thing is, it just happened out of nowhere- nothing new installed within the past 2 weeks, been running the ROM since it was released w/o problems till now...which is why I found it so weird

Does no one use Slick Messenger?... This has been my staple IM application forever... It does AIM, ICQ, Facebook, Gtalm, etc.... They just recently upgraded the user interface...

I'm on US Cellular running the 3/23 official release and can't send MMS, but can receive pictures (but not videos).

Anyone else having or not having this problem on US Cellular? Or know how to fix it? I'm not too concerned with videos, considering they are always way too small anyways, but I'd like to be able to send pictures.

I know this doesnt fit in the new THREAD of this topic since it now discusses a new version of the ROM, but I hope someone can help...

I am STILL running the 2/1 version of mightyrom which I have added a lot of the fixes.. One thing that doesnt seem to work 100% correct is QUICK GPS. I have it set to automatically download the new fix file when it EXPIRES but it never does. it just stays at EXPIRED. then when I use a few programs, I notice that it isnt getting the correct fix and I go into quick GPS to see that it is EXPIRED and have to manually click on download. how can I make this run automatically??

How are you using BeeJive? I can't use it with MightyRom or Mr. X rom. When I use it, it kills my keyboard and all other buttons except the End Button. Do you or anyone else have a fix for this? This even happens after a fresh hard reset, nothing installed but beejive. I have a Verizon TP2.

my phone does that from time to time too but ive found if its taking a long time or too long for me just press the start physical button at the bottom of the phone or start on the touch screen and when the menu comes up touch Home and there u have it ur sense should already be loaded. mines just kinda freezes loading sense sometimes but already has it loaded most of the time that method works.

and palringo is the best messenger to me it keeps me connected all day long and night its worth the battery drain imo and i havent noticed too much excessive battery drain from using it. hope to see palringo on windows 7 phones and that it keeps me logged in all day

Look I know this isn't a big deal and probably no one really is bothered by this... but why is opening the \Windows\ folder SOOOO slow on this rom? I like this rom for the most part but I find I do go into the Windows folder quite a bit (especially when setting up a rom for the first time) and it drives me nuts that it takes 8-10 seconds to open, even with Show All Files unchecked.

On the stock 6.1 or 6.5 roms it only takes about 2 seconds to open this folder... why does it take so long on Mighty?

Main reason I want Mighty is for Sense 2.5... I don't suppose there's a cab to install 2.5 onto a stock 6.1 rom?

Hey its actually all the files needed to run Sense that makes it open so slowly or you can check your FATFS cache settings and make sure that it is enable and set to 0

Recommend for next version: caching the music library on startup. For those with big libraries, it can take minutes for music to load and shuffle correctly.

Do you happen to be running a custom theme? If so, all those extra files in the Windows Directory definitely don't help.

I do not run any custom themes, but also experienced the 10 to 15 second open time even on the stock Sprint ROM and all of Mighty's ROM's.

I have just learned to live with it.

Might be a dumb question, but do you have all the boxes checked in the quick gps. I know I had that problem before and i went to 2x check the setting and I had not checked all the boxes.

Have you installed ArcSoft?

As was mentioned, do you have any themes installed to alter manila? Also, I'm guessing that there are likely significantly more files/folders in the Windows dir of MightyROM compared to most stock ROMs, though I could be wrong about that.

Nope... no themes installed. This is with a fresh flash of MightyRom after running Task 29 and then a hard reset after the first boot. Nothing installed.

Yes I have ALL the boxes checked .. even the download when connected via USB is checked and it doesnt work.. is this supposed to be running in the background or something? what tells it to download I dont see a service or notification..

in response to the IM+ chatter. I just installed IM+ 7.0 on my tp2 and it is running insanely slow (the program not my phone). Is this the norm with IM+ or at least this version. I will agree parlingo did eat up my battery but at least it was quick. Scrolling on this IM+ is insanely slow and it keeps going after I stop moving my finger. Any thoughts?
