Hey tjELITE,

I saw a bunch of pages back, someone asking when the new update was coming, and MightyMike replied something to the effect about what changes should be made to the current ROM?

I recently found on MightROM site that Mr. X has a new ROM out that is supposed to fix the Memory Leak issue. I for one would like to see that change, if it in fact is stable and works as reported, rolled into the latest ROM from MM.

Thoughts?

For everyone that installed the 1.7 Cookies Home Tab they've just released more clocks for it. There's 12 to start off with and more coming. Make sure you thank Jaguaralani over at XDA.

Using the Lock Device GUI icon, you can control when it locks, at Screen turn on or off.

Use the link below:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...2&d=1270812851

I installed the cab and it did not work. I tried both settings on device lock and everytime when i press that button at the top that makes the screen sleep and press it again to wake the screen up the slide lock is on. Any other ideas? or is it because i just installed it and not install it OVER current lock device...if thats the problem, how do you install it over or "replace" the lock device?

The Phone ID on my Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 changed from HTC RHOD500 to HTC T7380 after loading Mighty ROM. How can I change the phone ID back? I sync with My Phone and now it shows both phones which I would rather not have it do.

This happened because of an error with the Verizon provisioning file that we experienced during testing. Data on Verizon wouldn't work properly unless the ROM saw the name HTC T7380 (Sprint's technical name for the phone) since this is built on the Sprint 6.5 ROM.

So in order to get data working properly for the Verizon provision cab, Mike had to change the name of the phone to HTC T7380 inside the Verizon provisioning cab

In your case you have to take your pick: Either you can keep the name HTC T7380, or your can sacrifice your phone's data connection...

I think the choice is an obvious one ;)

It sounds like your describing exactly what it is supposed to be doing.

When you hit the button on the top to sleep the phone, and you have the GUI for Lockdevice V1.6 set to lock on screen off, when you hit the power button on the top, the screen comes on and the phone is locked.

Maybe I am not clear what your wanting it to do.

i am trying to get the screen lock to work like it did on the stock rom. You had to physically push on the lock on the screen in the bottom corner to lock the screen. With Mightyrom whenever the screen "sleeps" or if you turn the back light off with the button at the top it will automatically lock the screen.

What i want is for the phone to lock the screen only if i hit lock. So i would like it to go straight to home screen when its sleeping and i power it on. I want to be able to sleep the phone and wake it up without it locking. Hope i was clear. Re: ║MightyROM.com║ ║Windows Phone®║ ║Sense UI 2.5║

Sorry, I misunderstood. The Lockdevice V1.6 auto locks the screen on sleep or on wake.

The stock MR Lock device to the best of my knowledge, only locks when you hit lock in the bottom left corner after hitting the Start icon at the top of he Start Hard Button to the right of the TALK Key, but I did not like that because I had to always manually lock it.

As was previously recommended by that other user, you might be better off with the Cookie Home Tab and Home Tab Editor that I posted a couple of pages back. It has it's own lock screen capability that might suit your needs.

Personally, I love the Lockdevice v1.6 becasue when I use my shortcut called Turn off the Lights, which puts the phone in sleep mode, I want to know that my phone is locked and that no matter what keys are pressed or if the power button is hit while in my pocket, that the phone is still locked.

Looks like your wanting to control when it locks, and you can do that with the Cookie Home TAB and Editor program. There are three lock choices, Manilla, Normal Windows (like you want) and then the HD Mini.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were looking for.

thats ok...its a preverance thing but to be honest its not that much more effort to swipe my finger across the screen so i am sure ill get use to it and not mind it later. Thanks for trying to help and responding !

I think your right, with time I believe you would would get used to it.

The Cookie Home TAB and Editor are the way to go I think. You get a way cool home screen customizer and you get the old Windows Mobile Lock Screen.

Just to clarify, your saying that with the Stock MR locking program, it locks when you turn turn your screen back on, even if you don't manually hit the lock left soft key when your in the Start Menu?

Just curious, hit start > settings > lock, is the 'prompt if phone unused for' box checked? Just wondering if this could be auto locking (which you don't want). If it's unchecked, then the device should only lock when you tell it to as I've never seen a 'lock device' program in MightyROM's.

I tried the Cookies Home Tab - it installed correctly but after a soft reset; says that there is a version mismatch with Cookies Home Tab V.

I tried importing the registry key and soft resetting; but that did not resolve the issue. How can I confirm that I imported the key correctly?

Anyone else getting CHT running with MightyRom?

Re: ║MightyROM.com║ ║Windows Phone®║ ║Sense UI 2.5║

I've been using the latest version of this ROM since Mike made it available on his site.

I've been experiencing four problems.

The first one is that sometimes I can't get the screen to turn on (either by pressing the power button or sliding the keyboard open). After a couple of minutes it finally does come on.

The second one is that alarms keep going off on their set time even though I've turned them off.

The third one is that the clock on the home screen freezes. If I haven't turned the screen on in a measurable amount of time then turn it on, the clock's time is what it was before I turned the screen off then it quickly catches up. This is something that happened all the time on my original Touch / Vogue.

The fourth one is that bluetooth devices I've paired and set to automatically connect sometimes won't connect unless I first disable bluetooth, soft reset then enable bluetooth again.

These paired devices are set to "Connections Authorized" in the bluetooth settings (tab that shows paired devices, tap and hold device then tap on "Properties").

Try using the RegEdit in one of the files to view the registry to verify...

What I would do though if you can't find a solution here is post over on the CHT Thread and I am sure someone will help you out quicker...just giving some help...

Did you have a previous version? If so, did you uninstall it? When uninstalling did you disable HTC Sense?

Sometimes it can get kinda buggy with apps overwriting previous versions...hopefully you can get it to work...to me it is almost lightyears ahead of the 1.6.1 version...now I just gotta figure out what I am going to use all the quicklinks for:scratch: lol...:evil4:

Ladies and Gentleman...
One of the things I noticed here at PPCGeeks is that we have some fine taskbars / taskbar creators.
Unfortunately, taskbars built for one ROM do not like to play well with updated ROMs as some files are different.
Therefor, custom ROM user (such as you) often cannot find a taskbar that works well...

This post (bookmark it for future use) will be where I take taskbars and fix them up to work with this ROM

First:
Thanks to TSOwen for this upcoming Taskbar. He created it, all I did was fix it. All props to him and thanks for giving me permission to re-release it.

Second:
Thanks to TSOwen, MightyMike and Puritan for answering my questions/providing me with the updated files. Special thanks to ArtQ for hooking me up with a newer version of msigner.

Third:
I CANNOT guarantee that any taskbar I fix will work 100%. While I try my hardest to make sure that everything is in order, I am only human. Standard warning of backing up apply. I used to be good making them, but that was years ago. That being said, I am running this first taskbar with no issues.

Fourth:
File names are as follows:
Author Taskbar MordyT Fixed v1.a
Where author is the author's name, Taskbar is the name (usually just taskbar) MordyT Fixed (duh) v1.a refers to 1 (first taskbar I released) a first revision. If I need to fix something, it become 1.b Please note filename if reporting bugs.

Lastly:
I would prefer that this post was linked to rather the the taskbar being re-posted. This is so everyone is ALWAYS on the same taskbar / there is no older buggier versions flying around.

TSOwen Taskbar MordyT Fixed 1.a
Code:

This is TSOwen's Taskbar for WM 6.5. I updated the HTC volume control and fixed
a small issue with 59 displaying instead of 60 on the battery meter. I also
changed the start icon to one I found floating around as well as changing the ok
and close buttons to make it fit the theme better.
Also, despite everyone I asked, I was unable to figure out how to remove the
"no sim inserted" icon. I will continue to work on that, however, if you install
this and have no sim in back, you will not be able to see signal strength.

CDMA_BilboBrian_TaskBar_MordyT Edit 1.a
Code:

HTC Volume Control dll updated with one in current ROM.
Brians BW dafunk_mod 218xx D1 WWE - MordyT Fixed v1.a
Code:

HTC Volume Control dll updated with one in current ROM.
Thanks lets me know you appreciate the work I put into this!
