What do you use to sync/restore your contacts? I use outlook and windows mobile device, and if I don't check to make sure they're deleted in outlook, it will always put them back when I sync.

Those should only be set when you install the provisioning for Verizon. They're in the Post install ProvXML, don't know why they keep showing up.

I was guessing that too, but if i flash to a different chefs ROM, that point becomes moot.

That I know, but when you open the Upgrades thread, most chefs have dates in their title so you can see what the latest ROMS are, before actually going into the thread. But its not a complaint, I just know Mighty used to put the date in the title before and i was wondering why the change.

Been having bad problems with the latest Mighty Rom for Verizon. It has been reseting all my settings and erasings my contacts for no apparent reason. Also today i did a soft reset and now my phone will not boot pass the tp2 start up screen. Anyone know what is going on and how to fix?

I would try the Hard Reset Button Method to get back to your initial base ROM.

Just search the net for Touch Pro 2 hard reset procedure, or search this forum for the hard reset button method.

Hard Reset:
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons until you see this message on the screen.

"This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel."

2. Release the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.

Next, I'd recommend running task29 to re-format the nand flash, easier then doing a flash dance, I have that posted here:

After that, go ahead and re-flash Mike's ROM, and all should be good.

I don't see why not, the only real difference is the tab control manila file. If you want, I can modify it for you, or you can yourself. The file is 26948339_manila.

For you Opera 9.7 users. Don't know if you all caught this but I thought I would share. It enables flash in Opera. Just follow the directions. :mrgreen:

I'm having battery life issues with the rom... With very light usage it lasts about 14 hours... The previous mightyrom rom I had lasted about 3 times as long..

Maybe someone can help...

I've turned off automatic updating on twitter, email, weather and facebook updates yet when I watch the antena icon it appears that the phone is communicating on the internet almost constantly unless I manually turn of the data connection, at which point it says off...

Any suggestions?

Well there was a request for it so obviously someone has something that works...I personally enjoy the start menu myself...so hopefully we will see something pop up...also sorry for the confusion about the Program Tab thing hehe I tried to explain it best I could on the download page....

See, I just don't understand this. I was told by the beta team that only some mms cabs would work. The one in the 4th post works. I have (am) using it, other have also used it. Yet some people have issues.

After you provision, install that, (nothing else), send yourself a pix, see that it works.
P.S. I replaced that cab several times with ones that were confirmed working...

Are u saying that taskbar from subzero has thinking animation like the old WM6.1 and not the WM6.5 animation (4 dots)?? If that so, I'm gonna stick to Tsowen modded taskbar :)

I have changed my taskbar so many times that I can hardly keep them straight. From what I remember, I uninstalled the taskbar that subzero posted because the old original thinking icon was the older Windows 6.1 pie slice icon. I also did not like that if you had more than one notification, the icon was a red question mark. I am running the (attachment) taskbar without the 1% battery meter install (I freak out when I see it drop 1% at time for some reason) It has the circular battery meter with the percentage in the middle. (sorry, don't have a screen shot)

I am amazed that people feel the need to go back to an older ROM to fix their phone issues, when there are so many people that are running this awesome 3-23 ROM with no problems. If people would simply follow the instructions to correct flash, and NOT install any of their personal cabs, they will see that the ROM is perfect. They can then install a cab at a time, monitoring performance for a day or two in between additional cabs to determine which one is causing them all their headaches.

Mike or any other VIP,

I have been using a program to give the extended Snooze time options that were part of the WM6.1 build. The program is below and is spaced out because the name will be filtered out with asterisks. Any reason that this is not automatically cooked in this ROM?
