I flashed this ROM yesterday and had no problems, today I flashed Energy, did a Task29, reflashed back to Sharkie and now when I touch any icon it want open. The only thing that opens is the phone dialer and start from the windows symbol. Any help would do, I know read and google, I've been trying to fix two fix at a time, one kept me til 3 am two nights in a row. So I'm pretty tired and eyes are heavy, if someone can help right quik thanks. Phone want scroll or move up or down, it was working fine before i did Task29, flash Energy, Task29 again, and flashed back to Sharkie

i would re download rom (just in case it was a bad download) then i would pull sd card out (just in case, strange things are known to happen) then task 29 then flash sharkie agian. let it boot all the way threw the customs and such. check if there are any issues. to be on the safe side hard reset---clear storage and let it boot threw customs. then check if there are any issues. backup sd card on pc---then re format and insert sd card.

the other option is follow above but instead of task 29, replace with a flash of sprints offical stock rom. in fact try this option first but check if you have issues on the stock rom before flashing agian.

I did that, it's funny and I never, I mean never had this happen, what happen, I put a screen protector on my phone and that interfered with the touch interface/contact. I decided to take the protector off this evening, and bam, phone is fine, how funny.

Thanks for helping out KJ and I'm glad you guys got your issues fixed.

Sucks about that screen protector. I hate when I waste lots of time on a problem only to find out it's something so simple that could have been fixed long ago. I'm glad you figured it out.

I've stopped work on v5.2. There really isn't a reason to put out another ROM these days. I'm very proud of and happy with v5.1. I'm not calling it final just yet. Should something big come out for us like a new CHT or a new Sense version or something like that, then of course I'm back in the kitchen, but as it stands right now there's just not a whole lot going on.

went back to Sharkie today, and now my backlight on the keyboard want come on

aye sharkie, remember when i was having trouble w/ routing device lock to end call and such via kb config.? well i didnt get it on end key but rather click of power button directs to lock screen then another click seems to suspend while in the lock screen so it works great for me.

the reason i wanted to have lock via hard button was i like cht manila lock screen (slide from right to left) but would have issues if i came out of suspend and it didnt goto the lock screen causeing all buttons disabled until you went to the lock screen then unlocked. well now i hit power once and it goes to lock then i hit it agian to suspend or i let it timeout. then this seems to make sure the next time you un-suspend it goes to the lock screen as it should.

this is my kb config:
power-1 click=device lock(acts as suspend while in lock screen); long press=pshutxp
call-1 click=dialer(default); long press=comm manager
start-1 click=start menu(default); long press=sense/manila home
back-1 click=back(default); long press=rotate screen
end-1 click=end(default); long press=task manager
mute-1 click=mute/speaker phone(default); long press=camera
fn+space=soft reset(in case the screen freezes i have direct hw keys access)
fn+del=back(when in landscape and kb is open the actual back hw key is to far to reach, so easy access)

i can upload my xml for anyone but i also am curious as to what others have set up? i know there is a thread but instead of always flashing im trying to perfect long term use of sharkie's rom. any other techniques you have for your long term use of sharkies rom? im interested to hear how others tweak basic functions

Near as I can remember the backlight flickering issue was that when in "twilight" light (as in not really dark, but not really bright either) it seems like the keyboard backlight couldn't make up it's mind whether it should be off or on and so it would flicker back and forth. In my case, it always worked when it was dark, like outside at night or in a room with the lights off, etc...

I can't recall anyone mentioning a total non-functioning keyboard backlight issue.

Anyone else having this issue?

I would say go ahead and upload your xml for people. I'm sure that not enough people really take advantage of keyboard config as they should. I'd offer up mine, but even I never really used it like I should. I only ever set up what the ROM had by default. That's partly due to knowing that I was going to flash multiple times a day usually and it just wasn't worth it. I also have to run the ROM exactly as I release it otherwise I wouldn't be able to precisely measure things.

That's a cool set up. I wish I would have done more with the app. I never thought about using the actual keyboard for button changes. Configure my keyboard with Keyboard Config?? Get out! lol

Anyway, glad to see you still running it! Still running like a champ?

Agree,probably shoulda but never did. Always ran stock. guess I'm old and lazy LOL. Hell I still found new things I didn't know about even after I got my Arrive. "smart phones" "dumb people"

my battery always show 90% even when it fully charged, did i miss a cab that i was to download and exe, and my keyboard light still want come on, it work fine on the last ROM i was using
