Those who couldn't live with the known bugs will check back when I update. It could just be something to do with my having removed the link in all my builds. I'm not sure yet. I'll flash the 6.5.X here shortly and work on it. I'll let you know if I get it working too. All my playing as been done on the 6.5 because it had a bigger memory problem, IMO.

Good to know about CHT taking a couple of minutes to update.

Rock on! I might give the 2018 ROM a run today and see how it goes. Trying to get the next release of KD-Font ready to roll...

A Tale of a Mis-behaving Program

Hi Sharkie,

I use a program called Cash Organizer (a money program), which was designed for WM6.1 and works great on 6.5, but it has a strange quirk in 6.5.X. Normally I can pick a date in the future to view future expenses and account balances. But on every 6.5.X ROM I've tried that feature doesn't work, which is one reason I stick to 6.5 ROMs. I really like the ability to forecast my future expenses to a date of my choice.

However, in your 6.5 ROM, the feature also doesn't work. I've always supposed the reason the feature doesn't work on 6.5.X ROMs is due to some setting somewhere. Now that seems to be the case in your ROM, too.

The way this feature works is from a pull-down menu I can select to view "Today" transactions, "Next Week" transactions, "Next Month" transactions, or "Customize Date..." It's the last one that has the problem. Normally when selected, it pops up a calendar in which I can select the date and then click "Set". But it doesn't work on your ROM.

Can you think of any setting that might be causing Cash Organizer to mis-behave in this way? It seems to be related the the pop-up calendar. I realize it's an isolated case, but it's the only ding for me with your 6.5 ROM. Yours is the only 6.5 ROM I've had this problem with.

Yes, the calendar that pops up appears to be the WM calendar. It's the same pop-up that appears when using the Calendar tab.

Strangely, when I'm looking at a single transaction, I can call up the calendar and change the date of the transaction with no trouble. So the calendar does work in the money program.

Here's the link for the program:
http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=premium.html
There's a sub-link to download the program for free trial. It's the full program, not a crippled version. Size is about 8 MB. If you install the program, once it's loaded, click on the "Register" tab and then click on the "Filtered" pull-down to see the options mentioned above. Maybe its an issue with the pull-down?

If anyone else also wishes to play around with this, I wouldn't object. ;-)
BTW, it's the best stand-alone WM financial program I've seen.

Here's a pic of the calendar pop-up:

@ Kliptik,

Yeah, so I think that was the problem. As you can see in the screenie the calendar now pops up and I can change the date in Tasks just fine on 6.5.X as well. :)

@ kdjameson,

The calendar in your pic is the HTC calendar, I believe, not the WM calendar. This helps me figure out the problem. Are there any other instances that you're aware when the calendar doesn't show up when it should?

One thing I did notice is that I can't scroll on that screen at all. Is there anything below "Sensitivity" option at the bottom of the screen that is missing. It looks like there's a line for another\more options...

Oh, of course, since the Calendar tab is part of Sense. Though it seems strange to me that the program doesn't use the WM calendar pop-up.

The calendar always pops up ok in the program, even in landscape mode. It's the result of selecting the desired date from the calendar that doesn't take during the one function. As I mentioned, the calendar pop-up functions properly when changing the date of a transaction.

If it helps, here are some more screenies of the program in action.

"Sensitivity" is the last item. If you go into landscape, you can scroll up/down, and there's nothing below "Sensitivity"

What's everyone's preferred music player?

Part of the memory problem is Audio Manager which is something that the Music tab is dependant upon. While I like the music tab, anytime you stop on it, it will run Audio Manager and it won't stop until you kill that process via a task manager. After you open the Music Tab, use a task manager and look at the audio manager.exe process. It will slowly climb up to the top of the list and become a memory hog. On a side note, anyone still using my ROMs, you can kill that process and that should help with memory issues. I've tried many different audio manager packages all with the same results.

I've also recently loaded about 10gb of music on my SD card and that makes the Music tab laggy, again because of HTC's Audio Manager being a P.O.S.

Lately I've been using WM Media Player, but I think it also sucks.

I know about Core player. Any other good ones I should look into?
