That would be great Sharkie - I have no idea how or why I can't get any of the incoming "beeps or tones" for call waiting. The calls come in but I don't hear them.


Still noticed some freeze-ups of the phone dialer not displaying or partially displaying sometimes. I would be pressing keys where I think the # should be and then the # would appear. Even if I pulled the keyboard out and close it, it wouldn't come - so I would have to soft-reset again. - This is usually noticeable when pressing the physical "Call" button - when trying to make a call in the first place. I rarely use the touch screen for initiating the phone dialer to appear.

Last thing I noticed is that the Opera Browser isn't running so smooth - sometimes when going back, there is a delay - it's like the screen goes to a preview box window and then loads up the page. Might need to look into another mini-version of this?

Free memory with all your defaults things and no applications running seems to be hovering around ~60-65mb.

Can anyone else confirm the incoming call while on a call not beeping?

Anyone else having any dialer pad issues or Opera issues?

opera has issues at times, more so than i remember on 5.0. i actually had the dial pad only show upper half of screen just the other day. thought it was user or fluke, soft reset and so far good.

@kjhadfield or @anyone else - have you noticed a tone/beep during call waiting during incoming calls while speaking on a call already? I am not receiving this tone/beep and thus, getting all the missed call notifications.

@update/comment - tried flashing to another ROM to test this - seems that this same thing is happening so it is not "sharkieROM" specific -

I had a friend call me from a landline to test this out while on their mobile. Still no incoming call waiting tone when on the initial active call.

Sure thing Sharkie - I am linking to a thread that I made in the general section with more information - the call waiting in the registry was set to callwait.wav as well - there isn't a "drop down" menu for phone : call waiting in the sounds > notification/events

Thanks for the tip Maxx134! :thumbright: Going to test this out tomorrow during work (usually when I have the keyboard issue)

@vancomycin :: Are you using the Task29 before you flash ROMS? If not, make sure you try that. Also as Maxx134 said it may be an app or the fact you are on 6.5. I am using the latest 6.5.x version and I tested all 3 contact pages I have:
1. From the contacts button on the Home screen,
2. From the contacts tab
3. From All people on the contact tab

All of them go into landscape mode when I pull out the keyboard. Have you tried switching to 6.5.x yet (I apologize if I missed that post)

[EDIT] I also don't have any problems with the incoming call waiting tone, but again I'm using the 6.5.x version

@margaz3 :: Can you be more specific? What email account are you using (work/gmail/hotmail/yahoo) and what have you done to set it up? You may want to start your own thread in the CDMA TP2 Development forum for that issue

I tried this and it didn't change things for me. When I went into the setting, it was already checked. I've unchecked it and still get the keyboard flicker. It's a minor nuisance so not going to worry about it much anymore.

I do want to make sure I'm looking in the right place though. I went to Start > Settings > Personal (your post stated Phone but I don't see that) > Buttons and then slide over to the sub-menu.

How can I get Nascar Sprint Mobile with this rom? I have installed 5.1 but can't find Nascar. Do I need to run a special cab or something? Thanks for helping as I am new to this.
