Thanks, but I don't really even know where to start without being able to use it. I have the same TV Out package in my kitchen that I've had for a while now, so it's not going to be a simple swap out solution or anything like that.

Can you guys maybe give me a very detailed description of what exactly is supposed to happen and then what exactly happens on the beta ROM?

Flashing back to 29019 4-24 ROM so I can let you know what the cooked in one does/says/located ect. Never paid attention cuz it always worked automatically when the cable was plugged in.

Here's some screens.. Pic-1 is start menu. Pic-2 is what pops up when cable is plugged in. Pic-3 is just opt setting. Pic-4 is when opt is selected.

Did you try the cab that KJ posted? Is he correct in saying that it doesn't work in PAL mode? Is there anything or any features that the cab is missing from the normal app? I tried the cab and was able to get to all of those screens.

So when you guys say that it's not working. Are you even able to get to these screens, but it won't actually transfer to the TV/monitor or the app itself (your screenies) won't even open?

I never use the PAL setting because everything is black and grey on my tv, always used the NTSC setting. I didn't get to use his CAB. I opened it and it seemed like it would work so I was going to try it out today after work. After closing the it, my screen froze in landscape mode. Had to soft reset. Was hell at work and forgot about it 'til your post.

After I closed it my screen stayed in landscape but didn't freeze. I did have to use to rotate screen to reorientate it to portrait. Is that normal? Even opening and closing the keyboard wouldn't switch it to portrait.

In any event, here's that same cab altered so it goes in the Multimedia Folder and has the same icon as the Settings Tab TV out does.

If this cab works like's it supposed to, I may just use this and leave out my TV out package, at least till I figure it out.

By not working, when you plug in the TV Out cable nothing happens. No pop up or screen at all. Exactly, would not rotate back. On 4-24 "cooked in" it will return to portrait. Just meant the screen wouldn't rotate when I said freeze. Sorry.

And if one were using the cable, when you plug it in, that PAL, NT.... screen should pop up automatically?

Well that's a start anyways. Sounds like it may be a simple fix... hehe famous last words, I know. :)

Alright so on a hail mary hope, look at your registry here:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\H2W]
"TVOutCableIn"=dword:0

If it's set to "0", change it to "1" and see what happens...

Correct, that is the screen that pops up. I'm not sure anyone ever uses this much. I use it more now that I have my Arrive. It's mostly a high capacity media device these days. It's my WMPOD. lol.
