Yeah, I got to say, I wasn't all that impressed with the evo. My ROM is much more customizable. Sense can do more with our ROMs these days thanks to cookie than stock evo. Im still learning android, but just wanted to put my initial thoughts out there for those of you who, like me, feel like your missing out by not upgrading. Thanks to ROMs like mine the TP2 remains a formidable foe in the smart phone game. I can't wait to get back into mine. :)

heard that,you can't get rid of the tp2.........i love my TB but.... i have this on me always!

Glad to see you are back up and running buddy! I actually had the same thing happen to two Imagios last year. I have no idea what caused it, very strange. Luckily, VZW exchanged them for me without any hassle.

I agree, cooking is one of the best things you can do with a phone and the awesome feeling when people are psyched for your ROM! After playing with my buddies Thunderbolt, I won't be moving on anytime soon :toothy7:

another thing to keep in mind now sharkie...you have a newish tp2 on the way, you also have a 30 days return on your evo (hassle your way back to old plain) so if you really dont like the evo or decide its 2 old of a phone and want to wait till better comes then return and bam.

Nah, I'm keeping the EVO. I'd thought about buying a used one just so I could get started in Android. It's nice to have both phones. Also, don't get me wrong about the EVO, it's a bad ass phone. I guess the issue is that TP2 ROMs these days are so bad ass that they're not too far behind and so I guess I was expecting too much. 4G is great and surfing the web is super fast. And it's just so damn big. It's like having a small tablet almost.

Anyway, I'm probably going to keep my EVO stock for a while and slowly get into learning Android. In the meantime, I still plan to put most of my developement efforts into the TP2.

just thought if your gonna sign another 2 yrs you should get the latest...how old is the evo now. it would suck to be stuck,lol. ill be waiting for the best dual core to come out mid-late this year, now thats bound to be epic

That's a true point, but I've never really been one that had to have the latest and greatest. I started out behind with a mogul when the TP had already been out for a year or so and have been behind ever since. So actually my having an EVO now is probably as up to date as I've ever been, lol.
