I woke up this morning with the worst reception on my phone it doesn't even hold a signal for more then a second before going into airplane mode. Or it stays on 1X.

I did nothing to my phone over the weekend.

Where it says what my connection "SPRINT" is suppose to be selected but it says "SharkieRom" before that it just sata "My data network" How do you change it back to sprint?

Do I have to hard reset?

I tried going to connections on my Communication manager but sprint doesn't show up.

you could try reinstalling the sprint cab from Carrier Provisioning...

Thanks sharkie but I already tried the provisioning cab... I also tried hard resetting.

Nothing is working so ill have to run android until I get home and figure it out.

Just so im not mistaken your says sprint right?

Mine says Sprint, yes. Did you try messing with Personalizer at all? You might try changing that. Maybe it's hanging for some reason.

Ok so I did task 29 and reflashed your rom.

That didn't help either!

It still says sharkie rom where sprint should be went into personalizer and It gave me the message

"Personalizer will stop changing the carrier name, as soon as the carrier info is replaced by the towers or you soft reset the device."

So I soft reset the device and now it shows sprint but there is no signal. Then the Sprint desappears and it goes into airplane mode with an empty name.

This is so awkward!

Could any of this be due to having 5gb of data usage this month Just hit 5gb.

I'm sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you. This has never happened to me. I also have never used 5 gb in a month though. I'm not sure how that works.

Vinn was kind enough to explain some tethering things to me and as far as I can tell, stealth should be working fine and shouldn't be causing any data usage issues.

This sounds like it's on Sprint's end---however, look in the paperclip for "mx tethering hotfix" and see if that helps. Otherwise, Im at a loss

Select Start/System Tools/Personalizer ....... Remove the current entry and you should be good to go but I do not think that this has anything to do with the issue
