since the speak of start menu replacement i ask that it be a added option,QM if cooked in as main start menu would make me quit flashing the rom all together,there are several start menu replacements but for me 70mb free is enough for me based on how i use the phone

im not jocking QM or anything i just personally find it hideous lol


EDIT: also sharkie im downloading 23149 again,last night after i flashed it did just like the issue i was having on v2.0,it would flash but after any soft reset be it xda_uc induced or just by me in general it would not leave your slash screen after the intial reset after setting up windows,so i will report later tonight on that since im gonna give it another shot or early morning all depending how things play out for me tonight

if you want something pretty, check this out. animated start menu---it's, ummm, kinda cool. HOWEVER, THERE ARE SOME ISSUES WITH GENERATING NAMES ON SOME PROGRAM FILES...IF THIS HAPPENS, TAP AN HOLD THE ICON AND RENAME YOURSELF. REMOVING THE STARTMENU REPLACEMENT PROGRAM WILL NOT REPLACE THE NAMES, ONLY A HR WILL BRING IT BACK TO "NORMAL" it does work, and it looks kinda slick. I think this startmenu runs faster. will not save any memory

I don't usually use start menu---that's what quicklinks are for--so I'd rather have more mem, then pump up the glyph and file system filter cash for even more speed

I have no intention of including any start menu mods in my ROM. Too many people would not like it, and they are easy enough to install on one's own. Just as an FYI...

I just wanted to test them out to test them out, for my own knowledge.

i would have to agree w/ straitup.

most likely, if your on one of the sharkie rom series you already like the basic theme (which you can leave as is or add to it) & the stability/speed. to save space he has made apps that used to be in rom, installed at boot allowing uninstall. i uninstall about 4 and that leaves me w/ 140mb free, to start on a fresh slate w/ my apps, and once all said and done i still have anywhere from 60-70 free. all apps go on device and all games on sd.

I agree as well---qm is quite ugly, unfinger friendly, hard to use without the phone being 8" from my face---and it's impossible to go back...but that's what I use my quicklinks for...

Btw, Rom is running great. Really has settled in. Don't think most people give enough time and let things settle. Didn't even bother to OC til an hour ago. On a side note (once again, could be my phone. Everyone is diff.) I removed MMTTaskmgr. Didn't want to cooperate. Couldn't be happier. I know you will not be offended, only constructive feedback. Love the rom. Just droppin in from time to time when I can. Keep up the good work.

Does anyone have issues with having the freelinks to show labels on sharkies V2.0R2 28244.5.3.10 version

There are no other problem that I can see and this wouldn't be such a bother because programs are easy to identify but I can't use any of the state links because all of the icons look very similar.
