I've never tried skinning or whatever, I went from a stock phone to Flashing, so IDK how to do this, but, if I install this clean ROM and it says that I need to install my own theme, can I use ANY theme and it will work 100% with this ROM?

yes as long as its for Sense 2.5 and not for Sense 2.1 it will work with no issues

ok is anyone experiencing freezing issues with arcsoft? my phone will stop messeging all together. nothing will respond unless i hit the end button and it returns to the home screen. then everything else, apps and all will work EXCEPT messeging. if i try to go back into it, it will do nothing. only way to get it to open again is to soft reset. this is a PITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it happens ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANNNNOYING!!!! especially since i text all day long. ive tried other roms and well there are other issues i dont want to get into about right now but other than this, everything else is great. im using clean. tried squeaky and same issue. please, anyone else have this prob?

Working on releasing 4 new versions of Clean today. All with CHT 1.8.5. There will be 2 versions of 23563 and 2 versions of 21901. Version 1 will have the manila 2012.14 with documents, ereader, footprints, and facebook tabs. Version 2 will be 2012.12 without the above mentioned tabs included. Sorry for the delay guys. But you know what they say, good things come to those who wait :king:

downloaded both 2014 versions with facebooks tabs and confirm that with the att settings cab, you can recieve mms on both of them with AT&T service. Great roms. thanks.

will try out programs and see how all holds up. so far so good. i'll give it some time for battery to adjust.

Anyone have a mirror to the clean 21901 with manila 2014.. i tried downloading with mega and its froze at 141mb and now it wont let me download anymore.. says download limit exceeded

having said that i managed to download bothe .14 versions and on both in weather tab when you use the screen keyboard and type in city it takes a looong time for a letter to appear on screen. and there is a lag using the physical keyboard as well.

a slight one on messeging, but you can see it on the sense weather tab.

aside that i am loving it plenty of usefull apps and memory.

now to figure out how to change the incall recording sound. pretty loud(trying to be descreat) :-$

Just wanted to say this is the only ROM I keep coming back to. Other ROMs present me with many problems using Voice Command (people can't hear me for first few seconds of phone calls) and other 6.5.5 ROMs give me memory issues. This is the only perfect 6.5.5 ROM as far as I'm concerned; and 6.5.5 is such a huge upgrade I have to reiterate how much I appreciate it!

This theme (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...7&postcount=45) is developed for EnergyROM apparently, and I didn't do much research, but do you know if I could use this Droid theme on this ROM? Thanks

no that is for max sense which is currently only available cooked into roms so your gonna have to flash a max sense rom to use that theme

When trying to send a message from contacts card the screen is blank. The slider still works but the messaging section of the contact card is blank. I've hard reset the phone already. Still the same result

hey. this question doesnt pertain to the newly released roms but was hoping someone could maybe shed some light... :) i just flashed to 5_4 squeaky several nights ago and i absolutely love it. im going to be sticking with this for a while if it keeps doin what its doing? i had the previous 5_3 CLEAN and arcsoft kept freezing every 5-10 messages wich required a soft reset to fix. couldnt handle that so i flashed. lol anyway, squeaky so far is running smooth and no freezing and seems quite fast. i was playing with settings and noticed there were several "themes" under home settings (i thought squeaky wasnt supposed to have themes...????) and i tried them out and love the black flamerise theme. it looks so good to me. but the only thing that bugs is the color of the highlight in messaging. its a black backround with white text but when your in a message and click on a particular part of that message, it highlights it in a VERY light color. not white but damn close which makes the text almost dissapear. its not a huge deal but it would be nice if the highlighted color could be another color, preferably blue since that would go with the rest of the theme. is there any way to change this? im assuming it would be some sort of reg tweak such as changing a number or two which i have no problem with doing. if anybody has any info on this that would be awesome!!! thanks :D

i attached a screen shot of what im talking about. i noticed its easier to read the looking at the screen shot on the computer but it is very difficult on the phone.

i don't seem to get mms to work. I downloaded the verizon cab and i'm able to send mail to myself but can't receive from someone else. I tried several times. This last time the download button greys out and i see the downloading icon, but it goes away and comes back and never downloads. Any ideas? Please?

are you using the carrier your phone was made for or are you sec. unlocked? if your using your carrier, go to mms options and make sure the verizon settings are set as your default

Did you not read the instructions on the first post for verizon customers. You run the provisioning for verizon, then you install the attached cab.(first page)

I'm used to using Mighty or Mr. X, and this is my first 23563 trial. So far (~2 hrs.) it has been very responsive. Thank you very much for your time, efforts, and hard work.

Unfortunately, that is just a drawback to the blackflamerise.tsk. I personally don't get too much into skinning or creating .tsk files so don't know a whole lot about it. Sorry.

u know, everybody has their own personal preference and im sure thats why your asking so you can get an average or something like that. but me personally, i like to have NOTHING apps wise on a rom. to me i want only what im going to use on my phone. no need for anything else taking up space if its never going to be used and i thank people like you and the other chefs who make a rom like this possible. i have no problem installing my own cabs and apps to make the phone exactly the way i want. my previous phone was a tilt 1 and i put Bare WM 6.5 23071 by Witschey on it (first rom ever flashed btw) and it worked flawlessly once everything was set up and there was not a damn thing on it except what i installed.

what im getting at is if your gonna make it a bare rom, make it a bare rom. anything can be put on anytime if so desired. unless there is a reason you keep certain apps on??? is there? im not a chef so i dont know what is all involved. but when i DL'd your last squeaky, i thought i was getting nothing but to my suprise there was still quite a few programs installed, even themes which i thought werent supposed to be there. which is not a problem, just thought i was getting a barebones. but if you do decide to go with even less, i will be one of the first to download. :) but i guess if i would request anything that would be beneficial to everyone would be any tweak programs i.e. advanced config, hd tweak, bsb tweaks.... i have all three lol hope that helps any.

btw, there a lot of us who dont use facebook or things like that so its useless to have those utilitles on our phones. that is more of a personal app i would think...

I know what you are talking about. I might beable to adjust the highlight for you. I will take a look at black Flamerise when I am off tonight. I was able to change around some stuff in tsk's so I think I can get it for you.

I love using sqweaky as a testing bed any new things like CHT versions that aren't cooked in yet.

What XYC meant by no theme is that there is no manila theme like Dusk, Anastasia, or GTX. Some feel when they have a themed rom that they are tied into using it or some themed roms don't like having certain add ons. This is what happened in the earlier dusk themed roms, they didn't like add on taskbars and would bork the phone.

CFC stands for ChainFires Compression. He created the manila tool that compresses manila files and as a side effect he did not plan for made manila faster.

On another note I was messing around with the Flamerise tsk and learned that you are using Windows messaging as the HTC messaging has a blue gloss selector. I do not know what files are in the WM messaging. It is NOT tied to only the Black Flamerise but all themes. the only solution I could offer would to switch the WM messaging screen with one of these Themes

The only problem with those is that some are not 6.5x compatible and the Ninja one that would be perfect isn't yet. I took apart one of the 6.5x cabs to see if the files are similar to those in the rom I was running and there were no similar files WTF???

As of right now I am at a loss and will need to look further into but that thread is the only one for WM messaging themes.

So if you stick with HTC Messaging you are fine, only MMS will take you to the Windows Messaging.

The creator has it running on 6.5x. Just copy all the files into your windows folder and overwrite all of them. IF not able to let me know and I will cab it for you.

Do all of the these have the Blue shade on the clouds? I kinda like the white clouds....

Also, does the area code cab work with this Rom? I kinda like the area code cab..........

After trying out about 7 roms yesterday, this one is the one I am sticking with. Not to talk bad about the others but this one doesn't have too much clutter and seems to work pretty fast. Only thing I didn't like is that shadow inside the digital clock, not a big deal, but hey, can't please everyone. Overall nice Rom. Thanks xpressyourcell.

I want to set something perfectly straight: These ROMs required a HELL of a lot of work to put together. ALOT of stuf had to be CUSTOM made. I started cooking because I didn't like the fact that NRG dropped Dusk and I really didn't like his battery life. If you don't like my ROM's, go get your own kitchen. DO NOT ASK ME TO SHARE MINE!
I will Flame you like no other if you do...Seriously...I never even thought to ASK NRG, Bignadad, VIN, or anybody else to share their kitchen. If they wanted to share it, they would have posted it!

Sorry, I really liked your ROM and it is the only one that has MMS working out of the box for me. I just wanted to know if there is a way to turn the clouds on Sense back to white. Also if the area code cab would work. Sorry did not mean to offend. Your ROMS are great!

there is a cab to change the color of the clouds, I am not sure about back to white. I will look for it. And the Area code cab should work, it is only a series of reg entries. I used the earlier cab for the area code cab and worked fine.


Here is a link to a cab for less weather clouds, but will return them back to white.
