I have to say I am liking this setup much better than with the start button. I think I will incorporate this into the next build.

Yeah I love how it looks! To me no point in having a start button when there's the hard key for it... and no X button is not a biggie since the X doesn't close out of programs on 6.5.x roms anyway. lol

I couldn't agree more, but thankfully all is solved with a simple cab or reg edit

Never looked at it that way. I may have to try this out and see. I never really use the hard keys. I mean hardly ever unless I am using it to go to phone or hang up. I might have to start utilizing them.

Edit: Well now that I am actually planning on using the hard keys more....The phone starts to look different. Maybe I will try it out without the start menu and x button. I may like it.

I have a new theme already loaded and ready to go. I have opted NOT to ditch the Start Menu icon as if you disable that you also lose a few other buttons and I do not like things missing. I will however make a CAB for those who wish to disable the start menu icon and they can install/uninstall at their leisure =D>

Side note: I actually got the notification task manager thing to come up using a different .dll I located over at XDA. I am testing it out and will let you guys know but so far so good.

UPDATE: The new Notification Enhancement w/Task Manager shortcut is now working like a charm. Many thanks to Black88MX6 for the original post and the idea. This is definitely making it into the next update!

I checked the file size aginst the one from XDA and it looked to be the same filesize as the one I uploaded. Notifications have been working for me, but it does disabled the notifications quickbar. (useless other than the zoom from what I can tell). You were using the one that didn't have .orig right?

I can't seem to find out the purpose for the following registry keys though... not sure if they are needed or not.

"ItemWestContentMargin"=dword:00000020
"ItemEastContentMargin"=dword:0000001D
"ItemWestTitleMargin"=dword:00000009
"ItemEastTitleMargin"=dword:00000006

I did not add the NotificationRes.dll.orig as that file was not needed. The keys above are used in defining the margin locations for the images within the .dll. They are indeed good to have and after doing a mish-mash between your post and what I dug up it seems like it's working great now. I am cooking a fresh rom now and will upload. Here are a two quick screenshots. One showing the new Task Manager shortcut (Thanks again Black88MX6) and also the new theme taskbar.
