It limits flexibility slightly, but IMHO it makes for a much better looking home page since things will actually line up with little effort.

Go color, it's refreshing.

My 1st thought on hearing this problem is: how often do you run (CleanRam 2.2 on the 9.8 rom) or RamSweeper in the V10 rom. This is a very top heavy app wise rom and it's best to close programs not needed or programs that we left running in the background that we forgot about. I run RamSweeper several times aday since it will close any programs running including QuickMenu. I also don't keep my text message around, I delete them as soon as I read them. Same thing for email, I download, read and delete. Try to keep your phone fresh and free of clutter. Remember we have taken this phone to a place HTC didn't even have a wet dream of going. In the future please state which rom, like Sprint with the Multi Carrier version. Or Sprint only rom, that way I know which SMS/MMS system I used that you are having problems with. I have 5 different SMS/MMS packages that I can use. 3 for Sprint and 2 for Muli-Carrier roms. Maybe I should just release a generic rom and let each user decide what message package to use. Please try running RamSweeper often and see if that helps. For me the system runs great, but I am not a heavy text person. Maybe 3-5 per day with checking CNN.com, the weather and up to 20 calls. My phone is my memory keeper with my some 30 different passwords that are set for me and that I can't change. Appointment, birthday and etc, you know the drill

Later today or within the next few days I will post a rom without CHT. Maybe the speed you want and need will come from that rom.

Timberwolf, again thanks for all you do. I can second the issue ModmyPPC is seeing on my Sprint ROM. Didn't happen at first but now it seems like every day I have to reset to get SMS/text messaging to come back up. Plus it seems like when texting is down, I will miss messages sent to me. I will d/l the newest update you have tonight and see if that fixes it.

See above statement, please try running RamSweeper and delete read email and messages. One of reasons I say this is, about 3 months ago my son came to me with his HTC Vogue with the same problem with phone running slow. He was having problems with not getting messages, etc. He had some 300 messages, some with pictures. Not to say that is your problem, but something to look into. Also something that I have noticed with the MaxSense rom. 1st boot on MaxSense rom will show 40-42% memory available. Load your contacts and custom programs and your memory will be around 34-38%. As you use the phone for whatever reason, memory available will start to drop and will never return to more than 30-32% even after running RamSweeper. Soft reset the phone and see the memory go back to 36-38%. This is not an answer to your problem just a possible temporary solution. One of the things that I can do is to change res-proxy and shared resources back 16mb's instead of set to dynamic (0). meaning less memory available at boot. I have tried to build a rom to fit most user's. I have no use for the following programs, but some will and some won't. My Phone, Skyfire, Adobe Reader, MarketPlace, Windows Live, BsB Tweaks, Windows Messenger, Bubble Breaker and any of the games, Bing or Google but not both in the same rom, Midomi Music-ID, PHM Registry Editor, Remote Desktop, XDA_UC, RSS Hub, MS my Phone. If I removed all of these programs your phone would run much better. I guess I am guilty of building a rom for the masses and trying to please everyone. I run the same rom you have so I can see what the problems are. Something that will help me in the future with hearing complaints, please give more detailed descriptions of set of events you were doing when the problem occurred. Since every user is unique in the way he/she uses their phone. It’s hard for someone like me to hear “My sms is running slow or I’m not get some message” Doesn’t tell me much does it. If the problems occurs to me and I know what set of events I was doing prior to the problem then I know where to look to fix the problem. But I can’t work with simple statements. Suntopper is a perfect person to beta test roms. He will give detailed information what he was doing when he had a problem. So if you want me to fix any issue, then please give more instruction on what is wrong. Thanks TW

Let me make one thing very clear! Yes I plan on getting an EVO, but the TP2 will stay in the family (my wife). So I will still be cooking for the TP2 and learning about the Android EVO at the same time. Time to get my feet wet and ahead of the game with the Android OS. I do not see a bright future for MS and Windows 7 Mobile. Like I said before, if I could have the same phone but with faster CPU I would stay with the TP2. Hell, I have a Sprint Diamond with V10 CHT 1.8.5 running great. Almost as good as the TP2. Remember to keep hitting my rewards card (Thanks) to keep me here. I do this not for money but for pride, honor(insert salute to the american flag here), AND MY REPUTAION!

I'm getting goofy, so I better go to bed.

Keep the problems coming just splain(Lucy) better. Thanks TW

agree that the color slider is hot right now. I've modded the original lock screen slider icons to blue but have an issue with the transparency of the background. I'll post them when my son fixes it with TW's permission. Nothing fancy but better than green!

Man 2 months of leaving my TP2 for Evo and now this. This looks awesome! Gonna give it a whirl even though the TP2 is not activated. Great work Timberwolf.

So after 2 months with EVO, what do u think?

For the person requesting TW rom with no CHT. Tell me if this will work, a very simple no fancy rom.

With CHT about 79mb on 1st boot ---- with no CHT about 88 on 1st boot.

I feel the same way about Windows Phone. It is just too little too late. It may become a viable entity after some time but it is just too far behind the ball for now. If the HD2 were available for sprint that would probably have been my new phone but alas it was not to be.

As for the Evo, I contemplated it pretty seriously. I even went in to get one a couple weeks ago. I was in on a Wednesday getting a new case for my wife's phone and found out they had several in stock. When I went back on Friday they were all gone. The next week Sprint finally issued a release date for the Epic. When they started taking pre orders on that Friday I bit. The only thing I was worried about with the Evo was the lack of KB support. I do a lot of emailing from my phone and sometimes the SIP's (even Swype) can be cumbersome. With a full hardware keyboard the Epic will have everything I want...I hope....I can hardly wait for the 31st.....:banghead:. I plan on keeping the TP2 around in case I start traveling internationally again (sim card support) so I will likely keep flashing your ROM's just to have something to play with. Maybe I can convince my wife to use it :D
