I finally broke and flashed this rom and in about the past hour this phone shut off on me twice without me knowing. (Or froze into a black screen)

Im on the sprint V9.5

Maybe its because I have the CHT lock screen on. But I dont have any other lock screens running.

Been running the All Carrier 9.5 Rom and so far so good. Fast and smooth on performance. This Rom Finally recognized my Plantronics 220 instead of the Sprint 9.5. Noticed several ringtones are missing (no big deal) but do miss my Abstracting ring tone. Did also notice that the Bluetooth setup is different on this Rom than in the Sprint 9.5 as well. Installed the Blue theme and its all looking beautiful. No freeze ups so far! Super Happy with this Rom!!!

XDA_UC is not program you run from the start menu. Create a folder on you SDcard called "XDA_UC", then place any cabs, reg tweaks in the that folder you want installed everytime you flash. With the All Carrier rom on 1st boot goto Tools Folder and select the Black Phone Icon "Carrier Provisioning". Select your carrier the hit commit. Now the carrier cab will be installed, next select ok to softreset. XDA_UC will run on the next boot. Sometimes it is slow to appear, just give it time. After it's finished even if you did not install any cab select yes to soft reset again. Possible answer to many folks having problems there are not doing the 2nd soft reset after XDA_UC is finished.

Always change to the Classic Blue theme 1st before uninstalling a theme. Them remove the old theme and install the new one.

The other side to that is maybe you were just making the switch to the Dusk theme. WM6.5 does not always work correct when switching themes. 1st try a soft reset after changing themes. If that didn't work (most of the time it will) go back to home icon in settings and select classic blue again. Then try the theme again. My Themes files are complex, with 22 files changing over, so WM does not always get it right without a soft reset to make the changes to the registry file.

The radio flashes are never the answer to rom problems, they can add to it. Doing the flash dance or flashing a 2nd time does it 99.9% of the time. When you flash from rom to the next, small bits of data can get left behind causing problems in the next rom. Your phone is no different than suntopper's or other phones no matter what carrier they are using. If all VZW user were having problems the I would say it's the rom.

Well ModmyPPC I know you flash alot of different roms. The above statment can hold true for you also. There is known problem with CHT lockscreen in 1.8.5 but from what you said it doesn't sound the same. Which lock screen are you using. I found the HDmini to be the best, but that a personal choice not that it works any better.

the only freeze ups ive had come from when i get a call and then let the phone goto sleep. for some reason every so often when i goto wake it up it freezes black screen where it tried to load up lock screen, also froze twice same way when texting ill let it goto sleep, while im in a convo then when i wake up it freezes only once in a while. 2 more freeze up is when i goto bed charge the phone, i make sure lock screen is on. when i wake up it freezes on lock screen, if i wait about 20-30 seconds most of the time it unfreezes. im using cht lock screen and hd mini, since i hate windows slide to unlock attop of the screen, but other than that rom run fast no rom freezes other than somethin todo with the lock screen. o and jstine ty for the purple them, looks great with the black.

The Sprint Only vs All Carrier court case.

Yes they are very different, 2 different kitchens and xip's (23562 or 23563). And doen't end there, the Sprint Only kitchen has just Sprint OEM's, manila 1324 vs manila 1412 for All Carrier and other support files. It is the most stable rom out there. The All Carrier rom has a mix of OEM's and uses manila 1412. I am working on changing the version from 1412 to 1324 for all carrier. Have it working fine but having problems getting all the same tabs to work is my problem. Also working on 2015 that Energy is using. Not sure yet sure which will be the winner, 1324,1412,2014,2015 and now 2016. Each one will + or - something to the table. Each one also comes with it own set of problems. For now the 3 roms that are posted are the best I can offer, stable, good looks and fast with only a few minor error's. Trying the 23XXX series xip on my phone and for the most part is is working ok. But if a new oem,xip or manila doesn't give us a new function or look. Why make the change, which do you want. A stable rom or one with the latest and greatest. Most of the time I listen to what you, the user wantes and I try to make that happen; "Most" of the time.
I try to interpret to what you say you want, and give you what you actually need. I get my kicks from taking the challenge of giving you what you ask for. If I was building a rom solely for myself I would have stopped at the Sprint Only 1324 rom. As far as stability, good looks and speed you can't beat it. Here's my 2¢ worth of, I have given you more options than any other chef out there with stability. Stability is the key, for what good is any rom if is freezing all the time. Even with all these options you don't find everyone flocking to my roms for download. Some, simply want the latest and greatest and are willing to put up with lockups and freezing. Not me, I want it all together. Like I said before if a particular set of new technology doesn't add functionality to the rom then why use it. From his post forward I will stop responding to simple request of help to this or that. I request you (meaning anyone) be the one to assist these new users. It's not that on that high on the food chain that I can't offer assistance. But I would rather spend my time on building new roms. Thanks Guys and have great day!

1st let me offer this one suggestion. Disabled CHT's lockscreen and see if that helps. There is a known problem with their lockscreen in this current version. There is a fix out there with a registry tweak, but I am unable to find it and don't have the time right now to search. Second suggestion, you did flash the 28236 series rom (bad rom). Maybe you need to do the Flashdance!

Well said TimberWolf! Agreeing with you 100 percent on all you have said and I have to take my hat off for you on these Roms. They are hands down some of the BEST Roms I've come across when it comes to stability, EyeCandy, and performance! I will do my best to assist you in anyway you need and anyone else here on this thread. You have my respect as one of the Best Chef's out there!

Well are you familiar with CHT?

Everything in that screen image is standard. You have to install his V9.5 rom.

What are you having trouble with?
What does your Screen look like now?

I'm not familiar with CHT, I do have his 9.5 rom installed, the All Carrier Rom Version 9.5 23563.


But the red version not purple.I'm just wanting to get it to look like the one with the analog clock too, not sure how to do it.
