Can you fix up one of these for outlook/activesys. I use push mail and I tried one that calk provided but it doesn't cook in. Would really like to have my account already setup.

I want the buttons on the bottom, stretching my thumb to hit start at the top of the screen is really pi#@ing me off!

How we doin on 21649 and 23563? Those were both dumped from a .dio and should be super clean. 23563 is pretty simple to port, but 21649 is a little more of a bugger, but mainly want some opinions!

I've been using 23563 and am very happy with it. No issues and it seems as fast as 60.

g-alarm was giving me problems. I know Icey removed this ext but keep that in mind. I'll upload my .erv here. Go get the regular 23559 sys/oem from welrope's mediafire drop it in your kitchen and give this a try.

(just unzip the .erv)

Edit: I'm also posting this because stuff you're installing may be giving you problems too. Start with a fresh kitchen.

Remove your SD card, don't install any cabs. Don't restore any of your texts from myphone/SPB backup/whatever else. Try using it like that for a day.

Can you guys explain the .dio? What exactly are you doing? Been having major problems with SOD's and lockups on a fairly unmodified 23560.

Dude, try my DuskROM before you smash your phone. I have a 23529 that I default to any time I cookup crap that doesn't work (like today) I believe it's the 4_14 on Mega, whatever the newest date is.

Sorry your having troubles man. Not a solution but you don't have to stretch your thumb you have a windows hardware key on the phone. If you have insurance then by all means use it. One thing to remember the EVO is coming so make sure you have at least one replacement left.

Which lockscreen? It should be fairly easy. If you want to use the HTC lockscreen, search for \windows\endkey.exe
Create a shortcut on the start menu to it and set it to "Lock Device" in the long press end key setting under settings > Personal > Buttons. Easy process to do those steps in the kitchen.

they can be edited to work with any email, you just have to know the details. I got them from already having the emails setup, then going in to edit settings and seeing what was there.
you have to create a new guid for it though, that is that first long code at the top. each one has to be different. here's where I got mine:
http://www.guidgen.com/
and here is a generic template:

I had tried the provxml before and it didn't work, I actually like the XDA_UC way of adding stuff in, doesn't take very long and is automatic, already using it to recreate all my shortcuts for games and to move shortcuts for the cabs in the xda_uc folder.
Why is it that pandora can recognize me from flash to flash, but slacker can't? pandora must put something on the storage card.

anyway you have a xml/provxml for owner info. still don't have that one figured out.

Thanks, once I fill it in...where does it go in the kitchen. I tried the one Smitznith posted but it didn't work. I tried naming an EXT folder "my e-mail".

Help! I just updated the rom/sys with the one posted on the first page but get an error that says romhdr.bin into ROM\TOUCH_PRO2 folder not found!!! What did I do wrong? Was I supposed to overwrite the existing rom/sys files or delete them first, then add the new one?

I made a XDA_UC folder on my storage card and put it there to install on first boot. I added this package to my kitchen under the oem/tp2/common. it runs anything that is in your xda_uc folder.

got to oem/tp2/0409 and open the oem_lang_0409 folder. in there open the initflashes.dat file with notepad. this is what I use to create folders (copied from rstoyguy). you can copy and paste this and rename your folders anything you want.

Directory("\Windows\Start Menu"):-PermDir("Programs")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu"):-PermDir("Settings")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Games")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Tools")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Internet")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Communications")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Music")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Multimedia")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Applications")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Location")
Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-Directory("Search")

then most of the programs are in the ext/shared or ext/tp2 folders. those have an app.dat file that can be opened in notepad and edited to put the program in the specific folder.

for example, this is opera mini5. in the app.dat, change this
Directory("\windows\start menu\programs"):-File("OperaMini5.lnk","\windows\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.lnk")

to this (all on one line of course):
Directory("\windows\start menu\programs\internet"):-File("OperaMini5.lnk","\windows\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.lnk")

Take care when editing the initflashfiles.dat file. If you use regular notepad it can cause errors in the file and would then need to be HEX edited to remove the two leading characters of the file. I recommend using "notepad++". You won't have any problems if you use notepad++.
If you start to get errors due to this, you could end up chasing you tail for a LONG time trying to figure out what is causing it.

i've only run into this once and it wasn't with an initflashes.dat file but when I was trying to play with a provxml.

Are you talking about it autorunning? If so, that's because it has been cooked into the ROM to do so after UC. You could rename the folder on your Storage Card.

Oh my... the winmo goodness on this thread overwhelms me... you remind me of joojoobee for ppc kitchen (witch by the way does support RhodiumW...) but i digress... any build you want to post we will enjoy. winmo for me is far beyond an obsession. android sounds really cool but it wont be like wimmo.... i have been working with winmo for years....

The app.dat file is there, you just have to copy your cookies4.dat from your device into the EXT's files folder. I wasn't gonna let everyone have my ppcgeeks login... This is for Opera 10, may work on opera mini. I know it's a different location for opera 9.x...
