A general FYI to everyone,

I put in a request to be able to upload *.7z (7zip) files and according to Mindfrost they have now implented this feature! He said he'll post an image up for it shortly, but it should already work. That should make things a little easier for some of us! :smile:

Due in no small part to this thread and all you guys! Thanks again for everyone's help! I'm still rockin' this kitchen for my ROMs.

Even though I know there are newer (better, some would say) kitchens out there now, I just feel like why bother learning a whole new kitchen when this one works great for me! Beside the days of WM are coming to an end. If I was going to start a new huge project like a new kitchen, I may as well go Android or WP7.

It looks just like the same ol' settings tab. I remember when I first used it, it had some extra stuff in there. When I used the packaged someone over at MUI posted (the one I uploaded) it didn't have the extra new stuff in there. He said he only replaced the lang with one from a leo package I think. I assumed that the language pack it what made the difference in whether or not it had the new stuff in it.

I recently reverted back to Calendar Tab 2016 so anyone using these packages probably doesn't need the Calendar lunar fix that's in there. I just forgot to remove it when I downgraded the Calendar package. It's doesn't seem to be doing any harm though.

Hey guys, I was thinking of trying to make a rom. I was wondering where would I put my personal oems in the kitchen. I'm using the ervius kitchen. I watch the tuturial, but not sure where to put the oems.

Your right. I was just wondering how, like you do, make the rom your own. Do you have to add it to the oem folder. For example how do you get the shark pictures cooked in.

If by the shark picture you mean the boot up screen with the Great White coming out of the water with the SharkieROM logo on the bottom that's the Welcomehead.192.png. It just needs to make it \Windows. It doesn't really matter what folder you have it in to get it there.

In my kitchen it's in EXT\Touch_Pro2\6.5.X\01 Packages\Tweaks - 6.5.x

I can't remember if that's how it was orginially set up or not. Obviously once someone has been using the same kitchen for a while, it changes a lot from it's original form. You can rearrange as you see fit just make sure that you notice the depth of each package and that you follow that with stuff you add depending on where you put it.

I need help making a cab into an oem file. I tried using Oemizer, but I must be doing something wrong. I can't get it to work. Could I send the cab to someone to make an oem for me. I'd really appreciate it.

I've never used OEMizer and not sure what one Sharkie uses; however, I do use Cab2OEM. Easy and works great. You can find it and try it out here..

I was trying to download the files on the first page, and get page not found error. Does anyone have any alternate links for the kitchen tools, oem, ext, sys downloads?

Try the links in some of the signatures on the 1st page like welrope's and william_fold's and some others... Last I checked they still had SYS packs and stuffs linked in their sigs.

Thanks Shark. I'm having problem though with trying to make a 21916 build. I don't see a oemxipkernal in it. Man this rom building is tougher then I thought. I give you major props for all the work you do. I'm just trying to get a stripped rom to run spb mobile shell with high ram. Thanks again for all the help so far.

THE OEMXipKernel is not something that you get with each build. It's something that is device specific. So copy your OEMXipKernel from another build and rename that folder to 21916 and you're good to go. Does that make sense? Or to save you time, here's mine :) So every time you import a new build in your kitchen, just copy this OEMXipKernel and rename it to your new build, done! You might not even have to rename it, I'm not sure. I always do though.
