Feedback after a bit of 23554 testing:

- Better free memory this time around! Suggest you let Verizon and Cricket users install provisioning cabs instead of cooking them in. Would save 8MB! Midomi also a hog at 3.5MB!
- Provisioning screen never showed up, so after several minutes, I looked at task manager. It was running but never came on screen, so I manually "Switched To" and ran it.
- After a soft reset and a couple more minutes of playing, UC finally appeared.
- You have 2 identical "Settings" folders - one goes to WM, the other to Sense.
- I'd still like to have a version of this with Opera 9.7 so I can use the HW bar to zoom.
- BubbleBreaker icon is generic and broken when pressed.
- From Sense, when I pressed Internet, get an "IE can't download blank" message. Dismiss it, then it works.
- SimTkUI opens to blank screen, does nothing.

This is coming along very very nicely!

Im would like to send a MASS message or messages via txting, instead of just typing out the names of each individual.....??? A cab file where you can choose from your list of contacts and click on whomever you would like to send the message too?

Hey Ice! I've run 23554 and the revised 23554 and the 23547 beta...... I love what you changed in the last 23547, but I have a question - is it possible to not lose the large dialer? I Really like it. Had it in the 23547 I was running previously, but not the beta (the 4.2.2010 version)....

if i am correct there is a reg edit that lets you use the larger dialer.. ill hafta search calk's thread and see.

EDIT: Since i am using the new phone canvas from the sprint dump, the key pad wont be the big one anymore... i am going to see if i can make a mod for it...

Oh, thank you, thank you!! I don't know why I love the large dialer so much, but I really do.......... I'm just a finger-friendly kind of girl! lol :mrgreen:

Hey Ice, a couple of questions on the latest 23554 build..... My MyPhone is stating that it is unable to connect - is that on Microsoft's end? Was wondering if you use that and if it was working for anyone else.... It was working this morning when I used it (was on the 23547 build then) and now won't..... just asking!

The other thing is that I use Cookie's Home Tab v.1.6.1, along with the CHTEditor and Advanced Home Tab (both v.1.6.1).... I use Santod's cab to make the background on that clock transparent, but it won't work on the 23554 build.... does on 23547 though - just curious....

I think that is sys related.. My Phone works for me, might have been microsofts server acting up on you...

Let me try to cook in a transparent clock to see if that works. before it was giving me problems.. it may work now...

oh yeah, got ahold of the LEO ROM phone canvas.. bigger buttons :D so you will be taken care of :headbang: since you have a fondness for "finger-Friendly"

(I have a question for ya' - have you tried sending an email and inserting a file successfully on 23554? I've tried 4 times and I never get the populated list of files to send - it freezes on me...... If yours works, then I'll have to look at something I've installed that is conflicting - can't think of what it would be, so I'm asking...... Thank you! And again, Congrats, Man!!)

trying to build with kitchen. it gets about half way through then errors out. get a lot of warning found module duplicate on module when building. ive included the error text. im building with 21898 and i am doing it without manila.

FYI -- In your kitchen changelog, you show "System - App Service 1.87.0.0".

However that is the same version already in Calk's kitchen (and I checked file/module dates).

Errors when running kitchen:

romhdr.bin and os.nb.payload are missing from the ROM\Touch_Pro2 folder.

So I copied them from Calk's kitchen.

Re-run, another error:

Executing: kitchen_build_rom.bat.....
Copying OS.nb.payload...
1 file(s) copied.
Access is denied.
ERROR! (errorlevel: 5)

ERROR executing: kitchen_build_rom.bat

EDIT: Disregard second error - Kaspersky was blocking implantxip.exe.

links are up on the first post for the roms..

i am going to work on the kitchen later today.

Work is kicking my butt...

also make sure you take the old oem's out of the folders and keep them just incase you run into errors...

OK (embarrassed) - the second error was my problem. Kaspersky was blocking implantxip.exe. I had setup an exclusion for it just like in my Calk kitchen, but it didn't work the same. Disabled Kaspersky and it ran fine.

odd problems.. i just cooked a rom for each sys and havent run into an error yet (except the romhdr.bin and os.nb.payload and i fixed that.

i am pulling the kitchen and will see if i can resolve these random issues and reupload....

See my more recent post - the second error was my issue with Kaspersky!

I've built and flashed 2 ROM's and looking good.

sorry to hear the coodies got you... hey i am working on that large dialer for you.. i miss that myself... hopefully i can get her skinned right without the scroll bar and you can run it

Oh, I meant to mention two other things to look at on that one - I couldn't find the phone settings Anywhere (usually, they are under settings>personal>phone or somewhere like that), but they completely eluded me and when I try to delete an email or sms msg from the sense screen by clicking on Menu, the delete option wouldn't work....I'm probably not explaining that well, but anyways......

yeah the phone settings are back in my new rom (think those where sys based...) but the menu button im working on now... not sure why it disappeared... about to re-port grooves kitchen files and try again...
