Re: RSTG Roms-Sense 2.5.2012 WM6.5_21892_06 .-. 2/17/10
Been using this ROM for over a day now and it's working just fine. I thought it was pretty responsive when I first installed it. Now it seems a little slower than other ROMs I've tried, although it's very "use-able" and it's been nearly rock solid for me. In addition to the base ROM applications (and there are a TON of them), I've also installed pocketinformant, ewallet, laridian bible, TellMe, and a few others.
Not sure if I like quickmenu or not. I LOVE the functionality, but it's not so finger friendly. Ditto for the older-style taskbar notifications for 6.5. The only odd behavior I've had occurred at the end of the day yesterday. My TP2 slowed down considerably and the manila main content was faded-out (that's the best way I can describe it). The top and bottom curtains were normal and more vibrant. Not sure what caused this condition but I performed a soft reset and everything was fine. I installed the G-light application which IMHO does a better job of auto-dimming the display than the base WinMo capability. It works well with this ROM. Overall, I'm VERY impressed with this ROM. It's highly functional and stable. Way to go! |

Re: RSTG Roms-Sense 2.5.2012 WM6.5_21892_06 .-. 2/17/10
After a few days of use, I'm now experiencing two issues with this ROM:
1. The lock/unlock screen has a "ghosted image" of the last application or call that was on-screen just prior to when the TP2 locked (mine is on auto-lock due to corp requirements). In addition, the unlock slider leaves a trail on the screen as I swipe it. I enabled 2D acceleration at some point -- could this be responsible? 2. The SMS application is often very slow, and it seems to get confused while switching from the "bubbles" screens and the WM screens. Significant lag. While in landscape mode, my SMS application locked up on two occasions after hitting "send" on an SMS. The display hung and showed the rotating colored dots (used to be an hourglass). A soft reset resolved the issue. Anyone else experiencing these behaviors? |
