i have used spb backup for a long time now, for contacts, calendar, texts for a while. Every ounce in a while i use it to backup my fully customized setup and only restore to that same rom. There is a rom upgrade mode that allows you to restore to a new rom, but i have always been unsure as to what i am overwriting. There is also a checkbox not to overwrite files but then not everything works.

why cant i make swype the default .... i have done it thru settings no luck....just not a fan of touchpal

I am going to make a build without Touchpal, VolumeX and Pocketshield soon, I am not sure why this does not work for you but I can look into and get back to you. You could attempt to install Touchpal from a cab then remove it as another user has done, this should only leave you with Swype Although when I have it cooked in its the secondary so maybe it is not allowing you to change as this is the way I have it cooked in.

Finalized the new build and testing some more tonight should be up in the morning first up will be generic (Carrier Select at boot) I figured this could be used for everyone Sprint Only will come shortly after, to sprint users I will have TV included as it is free but does anyone use the navigation, if so I will post cabs for that.

I use navigation it rocks. Of course where i live there are many windy streets and usually multiple routes to everywhere, so while out running around it works out well to get to places quickly and dodging traffic in a pinch.

so am i the only one having youtube no sound issues? I did a flash to stock then flash to this. I did remove volumex but i wouldn't think that it would be affected... it wasn't working with volumex either.

Removed Touchpal and replaced with Ez Input 2.1, Swype 2.0 still included.
Removed Pocket Shield
Removed VolumeX
Removed ArkSwitch task manager
All of the above will be in the App Pack later to come.

Updated icons and layouts of MS

For Generic Builds, first boot JMZ Carrier selection is in the background. Please goto -> Start (Programs)-> Utilities -> Task manager and select JMZ Provisioning to bring it to the front and select your Carrier.

Bugs still there:

SPB Time Alarm does not function, Use G-Alarm or Windows Standard for now.
Mobile Shell Online Background Catalog has graphics issues.
Restore of settings seems to have some issues still, I am working on all of these.

I also plan on adding a Sashimi App Pack later with some add-on cabs for you guys that install to the organized folders with new icons.

Try this program called sip change. Just highlight swype as default sip and enter 35 or 40 as delay and hit select or save button, forget what is labeled (been a while since I used it.) Works like a charm
