I love the ROM, everything I want is included. I do have an issue that may just be me... Memory usage creeps to 80% after viewing email from gmail. Anyone else experiencing this?

I just opened up the following programs and only saw 77% in use (My E-mail is set to check at 30 minute intervals and Weather auto downloads every 30 Minutes):
1: AIM
2: Album
3: Google Maps (GPS ON)
4: Sprint Instant Messaging
5: Wi-Fi Router (Active)
6: Sprint Navigation
7: Word Mobile

Not sure what's causing your phone to get up so high but I would use Advanced Task Manager to see what's hogging your resources.

This rom is great! I haven't flashed in a while, and this was worth it. Are you planning to cook a rom like this with sense 2.5?

Bro this rom is way cool. many thumbs up, I thought the location services didnt work because its disabled and I cant access it all fields are shaded, I am actually on my laptop using the wifi router that the standard sprint tp 2 doesnt have. no flaws its wicked, hold on Im donating now,
I have tried many different roms but this one is the one I like the best it utilizes all of the function of the tp2 good no great job, thanks again,

Thanks. Installed Advanced Task Manager and everything looks normal. Been sitting at 69% for a few hours now.

Not so sure about the refresh issue but I can confirm that the symbol bug is an opera issue and is also present on the stock ROM (I'm on stock right now and have noticed this problem). About to give this ROM a go since I'm still looking for the perfect ROM and all the positive comments posted here. I just hope you continue only to perfect this ROM and not try to add too many new features which introduce new bugs. I will report back tomorrow with my findings so far. This will really help me make it through work!

This ROM is the best so far! I haven't had any hard resets, no soft resets either, no memory problems (using about 77% after a few hours with programs running in the background), even linking facebook profiles to outlook contacts changes the picture in outlook! This didn't work on any ROM I tried other than stock, and this one instantly updates my outlook contacts.

No real bugs to report. Only a few suggestions to make a flawless update that would probably be better than sprint's update. The weather animations on the home screen (actually just the snowing with ice animation) has spots where I can see small lines that should be completely transparent. Also when I plug up my phone to my laptop and I choose internet sharing, I get the "file could not be opened" message. When I go to internet sharing though, it connects no problem. I think it's just not linking to the internet sharing program somehow. Otherwise, this ROM has been flawless. It's the first ROM that doesn't have any "deal-breakers" for me. I can see this getting long term use. Really exceptional job here.

Okay so after some research and testing, the Symbol bug has been determined to be directly related to Opera 9.5 as previously stated by Jordant2. The bug is present on EVERY rom I flashed with Opera 9.5, including the stock Sprint ROM. I flashed a new rom with an Opera 9.7 build and the problem went away, however adding Opera 9.7 trades off Push Internet as well as the Manila bookmarks.

UPDATE: I have a few issues taken care of thus far (Internet Sharing USB Pop Up) and also have added a nice addition to the Multimedia folder which I know you will all like. Expect a new ROM update within the very near future. :)

That is the Windows Default theme. You have to go to Start>Settings>All Settings>Today>Items and then uncheck HTC Sense and check Windows Default.

Great ROM! This is the second ROM that I've flashed.
Only problem that I'm having is with Text Messages. They will not display and when I receive one and try to reply the screen gets stuck and system freezes. When I use the HTC version of texting it goes thru ok, but it's not updated for some reason

This rom has Manila Sense 2.1 (Non-Sprint, it is the HTC original version). The Sprint Lover's ROM has All Sprint applications included with the exception of the Sprint Music Store which causes conflicts with Audio Manager. Check the pictures on the first post.

Have you tried doing a hard reset and then checking to see if the problem is still there? I have not seen this problem before so it may be something that you are installing causing an issue.

Haven't had this issue. Text are working fine. You definitely installed something funky.

Hey chris, sometimes my zoom slider gives out in opera. Seems to happen when I type in a text field (such as this message) then I can no longer use the zoom slider until I reset my device.

Great Job on this ROM, been waiting for this for a while..THAnkS!!! . I have one question really . I was running stock 6.1 Sprint Rom before and had added HTC GSensor list for auto rotation. It worked very well. I installed it on this rom and it does not appear to be functional anymore. This is one feature I would like to have but its not a deal breaker. It seemed a lot easier and better functioning than gyrator or flip it... Can anyone tell me if this is working for them? I miss the simple rotation when I turned my phone sideways without having to open up the keybpard. Other than this, everything appears to be running flawlessly ..

Google Maps should be version 3.3.1 which was only downloaded a week or so ago. I may take this out of my next build so that users may add/remove google maps at their own desire. I don't think installing over the included one will do any harm as you can always uninstall it.

Ok I guess I'm the only one then. I just downloaded opera 9.7. Chris do you know how to link the push bookmarks in the internet tab to 9.7? Everything else works fine.

I had this issue with the version previous to 2/11/10. Downloading the new one, will let you know.

BTW, Appreciate your time and work involved in creating the ROM. Yours is the only one that supports plus code dialing without registry hacks.

Internet Sharing and tethering is safe and built into the rom.

wow, i think i have a winner in the custom rom search.
i will give it a try.
what does sprint music do to mess up the phone? i have used it instead of wmp without problems.
wmp shuffle was messing up pandora.
what is memory usage at rest with this?

@Chris,

Yeah that zoombar definitely stops working sometimes. For me it has something to do with a text input field. I first noticed it when using the browser for gmail and I couldn't zoom out of the message to send it. I am now using opera 9.7 and it has an on-screen zoom slider (build 35432). I think I got it from xda. It's working well but has some freezes when it encounters flash. It locks for a moment, then resumes.

I use skyfire a lot but use opera to view all forums. The text redering is the best and I like to zoom in a tad more to have a comfortable read (getting old!). So I really need a way to zoom beyond the double tap. Oh a soft reset would clear the zoombar problem for a while. I'm going to try another 9.7 build.

I also managed to get the bookmarks to open 9.7 in the internet tab. I had to disable push though but I don't use it anyway.

Yeah that zoombar definitely stops working sometimes. For me it has something to do with a text input field. I first noticed it when using the browser for gmail and I couldn't zoom out of the message to send it.
Can someone recreate this so that I may test it out or tell me specifically when it happens. I am yet to see this failure happen. Also, if this problem does happen, check another area which uses the zoom slider such as e-mail tab and see if the zoom slider works there.

Yup, The zoom bar stopped working in Opera. It did work in the first few hours of install. First I tried ppcgeeks.com and then the Sprint International link. I have the IE open and it is working in IE.

Double tap to zoom works in Opera regardless of zoom bar issue.

BTW Opera doesn't show up in the HTC task manager. Is this normal?

I'm now using opera mobile 9.7 and the zoombar issue has so far been solved. Even though it has on screen zoom, I can still use the hardware zoom. I was never able to pinpoint the problem though. The one thing that's different is The bookmarks don't link right (left softkey). There in a different folder on 9.7 than where the internet tab is looking (\windows\Opera9\opera6.adr). Opera 9.7 has them stored in "\windows\Opera9\profile\opera6.adr" so you have to overwrite the former to update the bookmarks. I would be happy if it were just opera 9.5 tweaked with a built in slider. I tried so many different tweaks before I got this to work that I have a bunch of different opera files in my windows folder! I'm just being anal though, this Rom is great and I would be very hesitant to even install the upgrade. I have it set up to my liking now.
