2.23.00 wu is very good radio.Battery life is good,SPRINT and T-Mobile reception is stable,no pnonecall drops.
I remember that 1.96 wu wasnt very nice with GSM networks,I had to soft reset after switching between CDMA\GSM.Now its registering fast and no need to soft reset.
Im using my own ROM and Im 100% sure it will be the same result with shipped ROM.Radio has nothing to do with OS.

Can you unlock the USC 2.18 Radio? That one seems to not be giving me the Sleep Of Death on my TP2.

Yes.

US Celluar Radios are very well done, and There are reports with Verizon Radios causing some funkiness.

If it doesn't take too long to accomplish, I would definitely say it would be a very nice addition for Sprint users to have.

Mike mentioned in his thread that some people have had 'could not send message' issues even though the message was sent, with the 2.23 radio.

I have spoken with quite a few people with the exact same issue since then, though I have used it and cannot duplicate it.

There may be some confusion for people when they see the "I do not recommend" tag in front of the 1.96 given the fact people are experiencing SOD issues with that radio.
