The dreaded rainbow rings have appeared on the screen. That usually means it''s just a matter of time until the digitizer stops working. I had hoped to wait until Sprint had a WM7 device before I replaced the TP2, but fate may force my hand here. (The phone is out of warranty and I don't have insurance). At least I get a replacement every year as a premiere Sprint customer! Anyway, I hear android calling me too. |

You do have more you could challenge yourself with in cooking a no Sense, no Titanium ROM. First, my experience with your excellent Nov 13th nSnT Rom. The battery life is unreal. Its like the energizer bunny. My daughter played games and texted with my phone for two hours. When I gave her the phone the battery was at 30%. After I got the phone I kept it for another three hours (mostly stand-by and light use) until I charged it. It still had 20% left on the battery. I am charging every other day, or if light use, then every two days. Second, although it has the "add new contact bug", I don't use HTC Dialer. After a change to the registry to eliminate the HTC dialer, I use a switchable iDialer/WM stock dialer combo (also I disable HTC menu system and use WM system menus). Its more finger friendly, and more colorful than the HTC stuff and overcomes the "new contact bug". Further, with lock screen on and a call comes in the WM stock dialer "comes through" the lock screen in a very finger friendly way and you don't have to worry about accidently clicking into other screens. The rationale of a nSnT ROM is space, speed, and flexibility. Its a shame Microsoft did not finish what they started. Pluto based ROMs are right there for an enjoyable but powerful phone/office-in-a-pocket that some of us had hopes for. Vin, if you could cook a pure Pluto ROM, you might surprise yourself in what you are offering to the PPCG community. For a Pure Pluto ROM cut out HTC Dialer, HTC Contacts, Sense, Titanium, and any extra themes beyond Classic Blue. The speed, flexibility, and space of a pure Plutonium ROM would be something special that many PPC Geekers would appreciate. Sincerely, Andrew |
