Chas123,did you noticed scrolling choppiness in v6? Im asking because you using custom icons.Or it works the same for you?

though I do not have a problem with ringing, but if while my phone is ringing I shake the phone, the ring will stop. Even though I have "Quiet ring on pickup" disable and "Pocket mode" disable. I have this problem since V4.

I agree, I've noticed wifi tethering is faster too...but usb tethering is so much more convenient (especially on my work laptop, where connecting to an ad-hoc network isn't allowed) and it keeps the battery charged.

Turns out my SMS "to" problem was due to me installing swype, if I turn swype off, everything is fine...so I just turn swype on when I want to use it for typing, and off when I don't want to use it (even though I was using the hardware keyboard it was a problem).

I have opera 10 beta 3 installed and have no ringer issues, the phone is pretty much flawless other than the bug that swype causes...and thats not the roms fault. I think I'll probably keep this flash for a LONG time (months maybe).

Go to your messages tab, then pick new message, then in the "to" field, turn on swype, and try to enter a contacts name...as you type their name, it won't come up like it normally would, until you hit backspace once...I didn't have to remove swype to get around it, I just have to not have swype on when I'm deciding who my text message will be sent to.

OR it's possible that you have a newer version of swype than I have...can you post a cab of the file you installed?

Good point about keeping the battery charged, I've got so many mini-USB chargers laying around from different devices I didn't think about that. Just for giggles, I tried USB tethering, and didn't have to install anything to get it working. As soon as I plugged in the USB cord the "PC Connection" screen popped up, and I selected "Internet Sharing".

Because I had reloaded Win7 on my laptop, I had to do it a couple of times to get the NDIS drivers sync'ed up, but after that everything seems fine. In fact I'm USB tethered right now.

.Im still working on global smartdialing issue...I will add IS phone as a modem,windows live IM will be in messaging folder.
I also fixed people tab>menu>import sim contacts function.It didnt worked,I had to run SIM Manager for import,I can upload v7-beta if somebody bored

If battery life different between v5 and v6,7 I know what to do.
I think battery % driver works pretty good on my ROM
