Anything higher my phone would freeze up minutes after it booted. I have been successful at sleeping my device at 604mhz. Havent tried anything higher. Now the polling interval for me has to stay at or below 200. Anything higher freezes my device only minutes after booting. At 729 my phone does get hot while in use and has frozen on me 20 minutes into using the web. This happened on 2 occasions. I am now at 648 I believe and all seems good. Still fast and as responsive as 729. I have been on the web for about 10 minutes and my phone is barely getting warm. Bout the same as it normally would without OC. As far as battery, to my surprise it is about the same. No major difference in that area which is a good thing for me. For those running at mhz higher than 700 try to browse the web for long periods of time and see if U cant duplicate the constant freezing Im getting. So far with it at 648 with a throttle of 54x forgot the number and a polling of 200. It seems to be good for me. Hasnt locked up and phone is barely rising in temp. Just my findings with the OC. Still a great app to use and still my favorite OC. Not a fan of trying to OC 700 or above. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the detailed update pRO...was trying to find a happy medium with the OC. Gonna try your setup and see how it goes. Good Look!!

Thanks for the write-up.

Also thank you, Recursion for linking the cab - I had been toying around with the idea of OC-ing for a while and only today I went ahead with it (via the link in your post.)

My impression: Very stable, with notable improvement in performance, running at 729/537/200. I am able to produce an SOD without fail however. It happens when the phone auto-dims during a phone call lasting longer than whatever the "sleep after" windows setting (in my case 1 minute.) Since I know the people reporting success are running August revisions of pluto, I am curious if this is specific to 7/22 Pluto CHT (doubt it.)

In all other aspects the OC-er plays well with the sleep setting. In addition, it wakes up nicely after auto-dimming during a short phone call (again, in my case <1 min.)

Perhaps, I will try the script (in the same thread linked by Recursion) - supposedly the script (as opposed to the cabbed version) conditions throttling on phone-call status as well as screen dimming.

Sorry to clutter your thread Vin - love your rom - smooth running.

O
