Havent had it lock up or freeze. Never get SOD or anything. To each is his/her own.

I might give this a shot....thx yp!......

I'll do benchmarking test on performance.exe tonight.
edit: just tested,no difference.

The difference is the Msm7k needs to be connected via AC Adapter to work without freezing. And after a soft reset the phone goes back to default. Not to mention to keep it running it has to be running in the background. The exe needs neither to be connected or ran in the background. The only thing I really like about the Mxm7k is that you can play around with different Mhz. The EXE only has default and 648. Not to mention the EXE stays at 648 until you hard reset.

No difference from base performance, or no difference from msm7kcpuspeed_v1?

Thanks for testing!

Hi hate to burst your bubble.
The HTc overclocker is a prog thats been around from the PPC6700 days.
It was not intended for this processor, niether was it intendid for the PPC6700 at the time.
It was taken from another device.
Users repoted that although it never did overclock, something was going on to make things seem more snappy.
I used to cook with PPC kitchen in those days and would put it in .
it would appear in Win6.1 settings menu.
Some say it did something to the memory speed, but most say it was placibo because since it was running in background, the unit did not scale down all the way in sleep, giving the illusion of snappyness.

I have offered a temp wotkaround solution for SOD to the other overclocker here:

Cheers.

Hell no your good to have that file implemented.
the cab didn't work but I still gave it a try .
inside the cab it also says the date the "exe" file was created in 2007 :)
never know when you need a dummy prog to help another by not letting unit scale all the way down, but for this processor, who knows...
