+1 on this too. The "one thing" that makes me crazy about my TP2 is the lackluster SMS. I scratch my head when I realize how slow and how much screen jumping there is. Lately, when I reply sometimes the cursor jumps to the time sender/received field. These are just lightweight bursts of texts. Anybody got a clue why we don't have a fast, full featured SMS app?

I miss my smileys from my Treo days too

i flashed that rom last night,no visible changes.
its made for cdma,so I will cook new ROMs for sure
