One thing I do frequently is charge my phone at night, in the morning when its full, I take it off the charger and put it back on and it will charge another 20 minutes or more. You can see with battery monitor installed that it will stay above 100% for up to an hour. HTC needs a better solution but if I dont charge like this I would probably lose about 10% in the first hour. I agree though that the point of these phones is to use them but the battery life just doesnt match the capabilities. Its the same for every other ppc, iphone, and android device. Not ideal for sure.

edit: also should say that I am in great coverage area at work, data speeds are 1300kbs and up so signal is excellent.

Well I just talked to my wife and she is 6 hours into her day. Dead phone.

Haha...See my phone is very understandable being that I flash and have beat the living sh*t out of my phone on a daily testing ROM's and what not. But my wife's phone is practically brand new. Not even 2 months old and she is sitting at work with a dead battery now after 6 hours of use. Not sure what the issue is here. I even had a fully charged battery and I took it off the charger today at 2. My wife calls complaining about her phone...blah blah blah...After about 20 minutes...Batter is at 79%? Thats literally 1% gone every minute. I have noticed tho at around 44-50% the battery holds up longer than it does during a high % number. Dont know whats really going on, but I guess. *shrugs

I mean compared to some ROMs battery has lasted about 13 to 14 hours. This ROM I am lucky to even get 7 or 8. That is barely a full shift at work. My wife text me just a few minutes ago and said she is down to 50% already and she has had her phone off the charger since 10:00 this morning and its now turning 2:00. That is good?? In 4 hours the battery is half way dead?? That does not sound good to me. I mean is there something I am doing wrong? Its sad when you have a phone but dont want to use it for the sake of conserving battery for longer than a 7 hour period. I cant even talk on my phone without it dropping 10-20%.:angry7:

Edit: Maybe I will have better luck with V2 cuz just flashed it today.

One Simple Good Measure Regarding Battery:

When the phone LED turns green indicating that its finish charging. Take the phone off the charger power cycle/soft reset then place it back on the charger. That is the only way to get a true charge/full battery (100%). You will see a difference with the 10-20% of usage. Something simple I learned a ways back, just passing it on.

Vin, you are THE MAN! I'm flashing V2 as we speak. Vin quick question. Do you do ROMS for T-Mobile because my girl has the TP2 for T-Mobile and she likes your Plutonium ROM A LOT.

Okay seriously....Is there something that can be done to extend battery life???? I mean I love this ROM, but the battery life is just not the business!! I fully charged my phone...It just turned green when I got out of the car to clock in at 2:30...At 5:00 My batter was sitting at 72%!!](*,)](*,) I mean I have all the backlight setting to as low as can be 30% to be exact...All of my accounts update every 2-4 hours. What could be the problem of the constant battery drain???? Can anyone who has great battery life please give some suggestions on how to extend it for us who dont? I would really appreciate it.

And for you fish:scratch: you lucky i didn't see it

I pretty much run mine the same as Riley....with same results....but I always fix my battery issue with these phones.....because when I am working and run it real heavy....BT with Nano ,Wunderradio or Slinging and a lot of internet.....it will just eat it up.....solution way back I always grab an extra battery and a charger is never far away....the way I usually get an extra battery is by going in and b"**tching about battery life to Sprint Corp store....they usually just hand me one from the back....have never had to buy one....I always carry a full charged spare....juice em both up at the end of the night....

Also dont let the woman trick ya.....they look at pRon also...:twisted:.........

pRon is hard on battery life also....lol
