i found the cause of this problem it was the default wm6.1 lock screen (using numbers unlock code)
if u were to reset ur phone and not unlock the device and let it set for like 5mins the clock on the manila home screen would break!! if this happens to u i have found a way to fix it!!

it simple just goto the today setting and disable sence and the re enable it!! basically restarting manila

Wait so GSM support is really that strong? Darn... Oh well. I'll try it out when I get home. Thank you!

Okay. Just tried it. Don't really like the start menu all that much. But it is really fast. Will that start menu replacement CAB for WinMo 6.5 work with this?

go to start menu -> settings -> system tab -> keyboard config

click menu -> add key
it should prompt you to press the key you want to map so you click the period button on the hardware keyboard,
then under actions click the +
Action type - emulate key press
in the key dropdown choose a period.
Then click ok and update.

Couldn't get this to work, but after i tweaked it I was able to get the period to work. The comma is still hit and miss as sometimes you have to use it twice. Hven't been able to get the emulator to fix the comma yet, but still working.

here is what i did, been working no problems for couple days, Verizon TP2

click menu -> add key
it should prompt you to press the key you want to map so you click the period button on the hardware keyboard,
***No new rules***
Key mode: Select direct key mapping
Key: 110 (period)

Click OK
Update Config.

Not perfect, but better,
Ben
