ah man,
thanks for making a 6.1 rom with the new sense 2.5 i tried nrg and deck's 6.5 roms, did not like them. this wack obsession everyone has with 6.5 is ridiculous, ive been flashing 6.5 roms since my TP1 and i have never noticed enough of a difference to use 6.5, and yet there's a new system build every other week. no rom is perfect for everyone out the box, so i installed the following and would really recommend this to fellow users: 1. topaz notification manager (this puts the battery % in there) 2. cht and editor (customize home page and new hd mini lockscreen is SICK 3. enable large start menu (id actually prefer the factory shipped 6.1 start menu, but the large start menu is sufficient enough especially with cht thats a pretty short list of cabs to install, which means your setup is good, at least for me! my only concern at this point is the wallpaper in landscape, it makes it very hard to read txts, emails, etc.. because the bg is black with some white in it, which conflicts with the text on the screen making it hard to read. i would also like the option of bg4alltabs but mainly my concern is for the landscape. again thanks, im running it for only 1 day now but if its stable, then it will be my permanent rom! (ill be donating at some point when i have funds, wish i could donate right this sec. though, thats how much i appreciate it) |

for anyone interested, i am posting a few mods that i have tested to be working 100% on top of this rom that add a little more function and flair to this already amazing rom:
1. topaz notification manager (install sdkcerts first, then topaz cab) 2. enlarge start menu 3. cookie hometab latest plus chteditor, which includes 2 new locking screen options 4. my settings for cht, just import them when in chteditor i have included my settings export so you can import them to my setup which has been working perfectly, but im not sure the settings for the lockscreen will import so you will have to set that one up urself. (i personally disabled default lockscreen, enable cht lockscreen, and selected hd mini.) Attachment 68151 Attachment 68152 Attachment 68153 Attachment 68154 Attachment 68155 Attachment 68159 to make my settings work, i have unchecked all boxes in smartlock, changed backlight dim to 30 seconds, 1 minute turn off device (settings > power > backlight), and disabled key lock completely so that any key wakes up the screen, but phone is locked to prevent accidental calls. seems like a perfect setup to me, hope it works for you! |

Hi Adrianh85
per ur knowledge, is it possible to modify a GSM rom to a CDMA rom? I intent to modify a Traditional Chinese GSM ROM to a CDMA ROM. If it is too difficult, I will keep using urs. |

EDIT: Oh never mind. It worked fine. Wouldn't mind seeing the stock slider though. EDIT 2: The version of Sense 2.5 in your ROM is not compatible with Manila Today Page. It's worked with every MightyROM 2.5 version I've tried so I'm not sure what the problem is. Oh well, I need my Weatherpanel fix. It looked nice. I will try your ROM again in the future if you update Sense 2.5. |

I have a quick question. I'm interested in trying this rom, but when it comes to the flash dance, should I flash back to stock 6.1 or 6.5? Does it make a difference?

I will apologize in advance for asking questions that may have been previously answered, but I just read all 54 pages of this thread and desperately want to try this out. I have never tried anything like this before on any of my PPC phones (6700, 6900, current TP2) and want to make sure I don't brick it.

Secondly, and most importantly, if this doesn't work or something goes FUBAR, how to I get everything back to normal? Third, I'll use SPB Backup and PIM backup. After the ROM is up and running, is it just a matter of running the backups as usual, or do I need to run them a specific way? I've never used PIM before, so that's a little fuzzy. A apologize profusely for asking 'noob' questions, but this excites me an and makes me nervous all at the same time. I need my phone. Thank you in advance. Also, no lines like 'drop ROM into booted RUU and flash to', etc. I need advise like you're talking to a 4th grader. "click on line that says this and open file called this'. lol I'm trying, but you guys are on a whole different level.... Aaron |
