After going back to 6.5 roms I can say beyond shadow of a doubt this rom ran CHT 2.0 (linked above) the fastest.. Also my internet problem was unrelated to the rom. I had installed cabs from xda site that were "GSM" device related, Becasue most users there use "GSM" devices. So I had a #777 data corruption, were it wants to put a "1" before it. I solved it with hard reset. Then went into settings, and made sure I checked a box that said "remember settings" with the "username" and two other fields, (I just left them all blank).. Quote:
The native "start menu" is Superior than any "startmenu" replacements I use them on 6.5 roms (to gain memory), and end up with similar result... If this Sense was updated (with all the social networking tabs), then it would definitely be a serious rom to beat! So goodluck to you I hope you get around to getting one :) |
Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
anyone know if there's a cab for scrolling? i'm at a text message and i can't scroll the screen up/down. i'd have to use the scrollbar lol. by the way this is a great fast and stable rom! oc 710(winmo), fresh start memory about 90mb after hours of use 67mb, using spb shell w/ mskip proplus wp7.

Just finished donating... I have really enjoyed your 6.1 rom with sense 2.5... I hope you will continue to develop for it... and remain on 6.1! Did you ever get a TP2? |
Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
I think it would be a great idea if everyone would chip in $5 or so, so Adrainh can get a TP2 and continue development on it... If you are using the ROM, chip in so we can keep this development going. As for me, I am going to continue to use my TP2 on Sprint's network, since the $10 a month price hike (for 3G service) does not apply to the TP2! They do not consider it a smartphone, go figure... Chip in please!

Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
hope someone can help, i know this might be unsupported rom now :S
but how do I remove the .net framework on this rom? I'm trying to install an earlier version but it wont let me since it says a newer one is installed. |
Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
I would find out which version of .net is currently installed. Find the install cab for that version and reinstall it. Then, the program will be listed in 'remove programs' and you should be able to uninstall it. At least that's what I would do.
Good Luck. |
Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
I already tried that, it says it is using same version so there is no point in installing it again and it quits.

Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
2 options I can think of... maybe try to rename existing one in \windows and then try to install (may not let you?) or reinistall ROM, but 1st remove/replace .net program with htcRIE, then flash ROM and you should be able to install.

Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
kozmo, how would i do that? Which files do I delete from windows folder?
And same with htcrie? |
Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
if there's any support for this ROM, I need help with my wifi, it shows connected, but when I'm on Opera or IE, it says can't find NDS server. Never mind just flashed to another ROM, and will use it, since my keyboard light is back working. Last three Roms, my keyboard light would not come on

Re: Blackout Rom (Global 2.5) The Fastest Manilla Experience STAMP!!
well after removing the .net files from windows/appmngr and the registery I was able to uninstall .net that came with rom and install my version of it
now pandora and the other apps that seemed to break before now work edit: so... just found out that pandora problem wasn't the framework issue i thought it was lol, somehow i stumbled on fix and realized I tweaked it without knowing it. But I still like being able to install/uninstall the .net so it all worked out |
