After installing BG4ALL(2_5_2012TEST2) , Co0kie.HomeTab_v1.6.1 , and CHTEditor.v1.6.1 i have seen minor to no slow down!! the only place i have seen slow down was during the startup while the weather animations are running!!

I too can vouch for the performance. With the BG4All and Co0kie Home Tab + Editors installed, I saw no noticeable slow down except for a slight lag when the animations are running.

I read somewhere about a complaint that says Co0kie Home Tab slows things down when you fill the majority of the home tab shortcuts on the three pages of links. Apparently the slow down is pretty minimal and occurs upon the initial caching of the icons, but I can't attest to that. I only have the first page of links filled and it's still very snappy.

everything seems to be working just dandy here. Did you ever get around to cooking up the rom without sense/manila?

I have been having one issue, but not a major one. Sometimes pressing the volume keys causes the phone to become unresponsive. Also, one time the fullscreen volume screen didn't appear at all; the little volume baloon with the two volume sliders appeared. Apparently the skinned volume service had completely stopped working. A reboot fixes the issue though, but I still get the issue with the unresponsive phone every now and then. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I don't know what could be causing it...

fyi, I'm getting another friend onto your rom. They thought their 6.5 Rom was 'fast' and then we did a couple of little mini competitions. He is now loading up your rom. Nice work!!! The proof is in the pudding.

Tried your ROM. Ram usage is awesome! Don't mind 6.1 in the background. I would stick with this ROM if 2 things were fixed/changed:
1. Dialer letters are very hard to read. I tried another dialer but it kicked uo the ram usage.

2. Opera Mobile defaults to mobile versions of web pages no matter what settings are. this is a real deal breaker.

Looking forward to continued improvements & I will check back to see what's the latest!

Best,
LBJ

I've encountered a bug/issue or whatever today.

When my alarm goes off it will go off once and if I click on the notification to bring up the notifications screen I will dismiss all and alarm will stop. If I choose to set another alarm to go off after that when it does it will vibrate for about half a second then stop and no sound will ever go off.

To solve this I have to NOT choose dismiss all but actually click on the alarm icon in notifications and choose either to snooze or stop the alarm and the next one will have vibrate and sound.

I could see someone being late for important appointments/work/school if this happening to anyone else.

Hi, I love the speed of your ROM! This thing flys! I'm not able to get my wireless sync setup to my exchange server tho. I had this issue with the "naked ROM" also(another 6.1) and was hoping yours would be diff.
Is there something that could have gotten left out?
Any suggestions? I've flashed my tp2 about 30 times and never have this issue.
I input all my settings same as always on the active sync app. It errors out when I hit sync after several seconds. My data connection is fine and I can get on the internet no problem. This really chaps me because I'd like to use this ROM.
I'll keep looking for an answer, I'm not really wanting to dump this, it's way to sweet.
TIA for any helpful info anyone.

James

this situation has come up before and it usually has some thing to do with the keyboard. not sure if this is a known bug in this rom though. this happened before on Vin rom if I recall when he added a certain ezinput sip with c qwerty and phone keypad, so all 3 keyboards to choose from. does this rom have this option? ive seen this on other roms as well in my diamond days. I would try changing the sip.

Thanks, I tried all that, but I'm back on the 6.1oem for the rest of my work week anyway. Gotta be able to sync. :)

i have never used his rom!! Great chef but im not a 6.5 fan at all!! i would assume its faster due to more ram and winmo 6.1 is way lighter then any 6.5 builds!! my 6.1 sys is a highly modded caulkin base (try running this rom with manila off and u will see what i mean)

Re: Blackout Rom|Manilla 2.5|WinMo 6.1|(Global 2.5)|3.5.10|All CDMA Carrier Support|

wifi router seems to have broken all data connections on my verizon tp2. using this rom so i was wondering if you may have run into the issue and know a fix.

i'm looking for a way to check ip settings on my tp2 or reset them. connecting through wifi doesn't do anything either. all i get is data connection errors and errors in opera mobile when trying to go to any website.

it just seems like a setting stayed stuck while i was using my wifi router. i did get a notification the last time i was using the wifi router that disconnected my data connection. that notification happened all the time while i was on the stock rom. it goes something like #777 cannot connect or something like that.

well, any suggestions?

----------------------------------------------------
nevermind...apparently all i had to do was turn wifi router back on. then turn it off. now all the connections work again. 10 soft rests later. figuring out a way to check the EPST settings on the phone. checking the EPST settings on the phone and finding them to be okay.

this is the way i stumbled across the fix.
1. went to settings tab in sense ui and tapped wireless controls (takes you to comm manager)
2. turned wifi router on at the bottom of list
3. then went to programs and started wifi router prog
4. let the prog run for about 30 seconds then turned it off (wifi router in comm manager turned off automatically)
5. connected to wifi; was able to get to a website in opera
6. turned off wifi and then updated my weather tab and no connection error using verizon data connection

i'm not sure if this helps your development at all. i don't know what setting it was that got reset/released but it fixed my data connections. maybe this will help someone else some day.

cheers!!!
