I agree with you. If it wasn't official than a locked phone would not be able to install it. I am unlocked so can't test that theory, but just my .o2 cents.

Yeah. The file name also contains "ship", which only goes on the final "official" version.

In my experience, if you wait for Verizon to announce this release, it'll be time to buy a new phone!
