Noob moment....will a 6.5.1 taskbar work on this 6.5.3 ROM?

Re: (Dec 24th) |MalROM| WM6.5.3 Manila 2.1/Titanium [Sprint]

I am having issues with saving a contact from a text message. I was wondering if there was a way to do so in this ROM. For instance getting a message from a random number and then saving that number to contacts.

Possibly. I am fairly certain that all custom taskbars will break htc volume control unfortunately.

Yeah, it's a known bug at this time. I'm looking into to it, sorry.

Oy. Found it.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=83378&page=7

The solution works (haven't tried flashing it, though shouldn't be a problem) but it kills the cool Advanced Options under Phone Settings.

Eck. Will dig some more to now see if I can find a solution for that problem.

Edit: Wisdom could you try this and see if it works?

I'll give it a try in a few hours. I just flashed Mighty's latest Love ROM to give it a spin (what can I say, I'm a flash junkie). I'll flash back and test that later tonight. Did you take a look at the cab I posted for 4-row start menu at all?

Ok, thanks. I can say that I did try it on the latest ROM and it still doesn't work. I wonder if it's something to do with the later builds of 6.5.3 as I don't think I've had to use it for quite a while. Prior to MM I was cooking my own ROMs with Calkulin's Kitchen so I had it cooked in.

Yeah, i think you're right. I tried Calk's version (from his 1.1 kitchen) and it didn't work; will see if he has anything from his latest kitchen though.
