OK, I am confused, do you mean that the new test rom has the HTC messaging AND the WM app together???

If a dummy like me takes a picture and says send it to a friend, will the test rom do it, or like in the past, just say it did it???

If a friend sends me a picture to my phone would it be received through HTC or would I also have to have a separate WM app to get it.

I like the current system and am unsure of the benefit to making the change???

I like having the newest and latest gadgets and such, but is it worth not having mms show up on the home page message icon???

Can you please enlighten me??

Yes the htc messaging version does still have the WM text app, so you can still use that for MMS. It's just not on the Messaging tab.

Not a problem. In fact thank you for the quick support. The task bar is a big plus. \\:D/

I actually like having the htc messaging in for sms, plus it works great with the peoples contact tab. I found as long as you don't have a lot of txt msgs it works great. In fact the phone seems to work alot better in general without too many txt msgs. Used to sync up all my old txts with MS My Phone, which was a big mistake. I just delete them now.

Ya...so i see you pulled the 23534 (good its been locking me up all day). Going back to 2-10 rom for now. Anyways Ivote no htc messaging but i also dont use mms and sms always seems to woke fine in manilla.

Just gotta say - I've tried Juicy 6 (pretty good), Mightym. SSS Deck, NRG & a few others and your 6.53 ROM 2-10-10 is really stable & a real pleasure!!!!

The only niggling things I've seen (not enough to flash another ROM) is:

1. SIP sometimes doesn't close but brings up SIP picker
2. When in YouTube link doesn't bring you to youtube player but Streaming APP - which quality sucks BTW compared to YTUBE player.
3. When changing Lock background device freezes & requires soft reset.

Other than that this ROM is an absolute pleasure - freakin' great!!!!

P.S. Maybe those things were fixed in new ROM?

Sense 2.5 does seem to work better with the messaging client. The messaging client has improved from its initial release, however, it is still slow when you have tons of messages. I have just gotten into the habit of deleting my messages after 200 or 300 messages. Who reads old texts anyways??

I text more than anything else, so I'd rather have my ppl tab working when its defaulted to sms. :)

Are you using 23529? If so, on 6.5.5 you press on the left side of the keyboard selector icon. That will close the sip...

I've had the problem when I change themes and the phone needs a soft reset, but I've had that problem with all roms.

I released updated fixed versions of the 23534 earlier, you must have missed the post propX. They are in the test folder on the new FTP. Seems to have fixed all the issues from before.

Thanks for liking the ROM. Youtube is a struggle for some reason with this ROM, it's something to do with the kitchen files. Not sure about the lock screen don't use it much. Also like i told PropX, new updated fixed ROMs were uploaded to the new test folder on the FTP earlier.

Wow. You are truly a busy chef. I just heard my TP2 yell out in pain that it hurts sooo much... LOL. Thanks again a lot. I love the updates and my TP2 is a willing phone... The lock seems to work pretty well for me now with the latest S2U2 (2.30 i think). I'm actually pretty happy with the ROM for the past few versions but flashing my phone is soooo addictive....

I am running the special edition Rom and the MMS is not working. I applied the Sprint MMS fix and ran the sprint provisioning.

My wife likes to send picture messages.

They should be fine on first boot, you probably just had some randomness. But you can always run them one at a time, it is an option.

Hey Dibbson,
Is there anyway to get buttons on the top in color (the battery indicator which was a circle with color changing as the charge goes down, BLUE EV button) like the ones which you had in your earlier ROMs? I just loved that ....i don't really like the standard buttons in white color now in the new ROM.
Is there a cab available to change that one thing?

I downloaded the 23534 test and I don't seem to be able to make the mms work.

I did the Sprint provisioning and the mms provisioning.

When I tried to send a picture it asked me to resize (this was after I made the regedit) and said that it sent----and nothing??? No receipt.

When I tried to receive a picture, the message arrived but I couldn't open the message. It said that I had a message but there was no picture???

Does the Sprint mms app show up somewhere else, other than in the messaging tab??

correct snively, For sprint users i highly suggest putting a link on the home tab for the WM text app. Also to up your MMS size, see the bottom of post #1.

yes install bg4all, i got too many people asking why it was white on first boot so i took it out. Also MMS does work, go through the WM text app and not HTC Messaging for MMS for Sprint.

It did work for the first 23534 sense 2.5 ROM that was posted yesterday or the day before.

i returned your pm, and i have alot of what you have installed and more as far as UI customizations and mine still works. Just tested several times for ya. So one of your cabs broke something somewhere.

Check out Santods thread here in the tp2 app and theme forum, they work fine.

Kwchan on the ringer issue you are not running nanogroove are you. A guy from work was loosing his ringer after running nanogroove.

No prob KW, funny i was just about to post this when you posted, lol. So since it looks like i got the go ahead, i'll go ahead and post a preview of the Special Project ROM. It's about 50% done, not sure when it will be 100%, depends on how things go, but here's a preview pic.
