I was having some issues with a laptop, but I use a workstation to cook, lappy was just an experiment, it works fine now, too.

Where'd you hear this? Hell, I just updated at 6am, more coming tonight & tomorrow...

Yeah, so I went to Energy Rom and had loads of issues, mainly with sms and mms which is pretty much the number 1 use of my phone. Switched to lunacie and love it. 2.5 is pretty cool and Lunacie removed the messaging program (htc?) from the rom all together so it worked right out of the box. Battery life sucks but such is the way with TP's I notice. Anyway it sounds like the cook isnt going to be updating Lunacie anymore due to his computer crashing (sucks huh) so I might be switching to a whole new rom at the next update.

It requires CFC compressed Manila and I am not sure if this is it...

This Manila is not CFC'd... yet... it's on the to-do list, probably 1-2 updates away.

I guess probably just a misunderstanding or somethig, doesn't seem like it wasn't intentional.

windows alarm works fine but rom is equipped with g-alarm cooked in. i also use touch alarm

I never use lockscreens, but as far as I know, it's in there now. If not, can you point me to some info on the particular lockscreen(s) you're interested in? I'll see if I can get it for next build.

It does for me, and you also get the vastly superior G-Alarm included in the ROM - blows away wm alarm for a lot of reasons.
