Re: *Updated December 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs
I switch between NFS and NRG, and I'm now back to NFS after long headaches with 2.5.
NFS has the best performance, stability, and battery life out of all the ROMs here, and I would like to see this implemented into 2.5. NFS would be the best ROM for the TP if he ever decided to make a 2.5.

I don't change the theme either. I switch out the slider icons, the clock, turn off panoramic and turn on background on all tabs. I'm hoping tsowens creates a set of taskbar buttons for 6.5.3... that's the last visual tweak that I'd really like to have.

Re: *Updated December 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs
So far, I am liking the general snapiness of it... but this is eating battery way faster than my own cookings. Are there any power consumption tweaks for it? To be specific, I went from 48% to 20% in the span of less than a half hour without having done much at all with the ROM. Hard reset didnt seem to be of any help.

Re: *Updated December 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs
That's odd... I pulled my TP off the charger at 6am and I had 80% battery life left at 3pm (I didn't do much on my phone this morning, but still). I don't really do any tweaks outside of changing activesync from always updating to syncing every 15 minutes on my exchange account.

Re: *Updated December 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs
I agree, this has been the most stable 28x series I've ever used, i was tempted to revert to stock again till I gave this a try. I have the same problem though - battery drain. I haven't installed much, just the provisioning cab and opera 10, yet in about 3-4 hours half of my battery is drained to 50%. Luckily i work at a desk where i can keep it plugged in, but rarely can I make it through an 8 hour workday on a single charge... I dont have anything running, and my phone is locked during this time in the morning.. I have tried another genuine htc battery too just to see if my battery is shot already (bought phone in march, never replaced or warrantied yet *knockknock*) and I get the same results.
I have tried upgrading to the sprint radio too - latest version, no difference in battery life. Is/are there any other things to try doing? most of the drain occurs when the phone is asleep. any help would be greatly appreciated. |
