Re: *Updated March 5th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.5 ROMs

First, amazing rom even on my gimped verizon TP. This is the first NFSFAN rom I've used and I'm loving it. I've read the thread since around page 71 and have a couple questions. I'm using Titanium only because of memory.

First, the apps bar, is their a thread that discusses this program or is this something that NFSFAN made? I've looked at some of the other titanium add ins but can't find this one.

Second, and the reason for the first question is I was hoping to add a shortcut to the comm manager, or WiFi sharing to the app bar but it doesn't show in the list. I found the executable for it and copied it to the programs folder and it then showed in the apps list when I added it to the bar it didn't have an icon, and when activated didn't start correctly. The icons showed (on/off icons) but no text and no way to close it.

Third, is there a way to organize the start menu? In Silence Roms (the only other ones I've used) you can go to the windows/start menu folder and organize them into folders. When trying to do that with this rom I get warnings that moving the files may cause programs to stop working. Also, it doesn't look like all programs are here, for instance comm manager.

Sorry for the long post.

Not sure about your first or second question but you can organize the start menu the way you described. The warning is mainly telling you that if you have the shortcuts some where (program on manilla) you will have to reselect them. You can also move them directly up and down in start menu by pressing and holding the program than you can move it where you want.

This rom is great. But, ever since I installed this rom, I been having problems with the phone heating up while im on the phone. And when I try to charge it concurrently it will get so hot that it will stop charging. I am also getting worse battery life than NFSFAN's last rom.

Any suggestions?

Any idea?

Also,
I was wondering if I could get a cab for HTC volume control that works with the single ring/system volume option?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks, I knew about dragging them but I'll try moving them and see what happens.

I used Total Commander to organize my start menu (it can be found under System Tools in the start menu). Browse to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ and move stuff around there. Total Commander has a nice CTRL + Click function to move lots of icons at once.

It takes a while to set up, but once you do it can be so much nicer :)

I posted in another thread about this, but the registry additions got "aGPS" working in Google Maps for me. I had to disable the GPS in Google Maps options first, and the accuracy isn't great, but it's a lot better than not having any detection at all!

i find the easiest way to orginize is to use a computer. i hook it up via active sync, open the phone in explorer, reorginize and when i go back to the phone it's all set. much easier and faster than using total commander.
