Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

I just want to let you know I am also experiancing the txting issue. I cannot txt cdma or gsm phones, I can recieve txt's but they only show up in the manilla viewer, not in my inbox. For the titanium side they delete if i click them through the viewer, still dont show in inbox.

I have a Sprint touch pro, telus radio and was coming off your previous Dec build.

to install your rom I did flash dance,
flashed danced back to your previous build up and running flawlessly once again.

Other then this issue, your rom was absolutly amazing. Fast, Stable, Professional. Cannot wait for next update!

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

Well, I am back on Titanium, as I inevitably end up. I like the simplicity and functionality of the UI. There's always something going on in Sense that turns me off, and in this latest version the killer is not having an explicit read on how many voice mails I have waiting. I know the locker has a view of the missed calls, but that is not equal to the number of voicemails. Sometimes a call goes straight to voice mail while my phone is doing a scheduled sync or check of email, and it never makes it to the phone. With no voice mail count I won't know it's there.

Too bad though, this version of Sense is pretty cool!

I'm also having issues with the backlight, when it dims down it rarely comes back up to full brightness unless I lock/unlock the phone (which brings it back to full brightness).

Besides the calendar not working, when I edit contacts through Manilla it doesn't save their info either. I've tried ring tones and email addresses, it looks like it changed, but when you go back to it the info is gone.

I can also vouch for Arkswitch locking my phone when killing explorer, I just avoid doing that now.

Most of the graphical glitches I'm hoping will go away when I flashdance to 1.05, so I won't complain about them :)

Overall I'm reseting the phone several times a day because of glitches, but I still really like most of the features on the phone. I wouldn't call it the most stable ROM, but it's the fastest I've used and has lots of fun features that finally work for me!

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

NFSFAN, let me first say thank you for the great ROM. I have run across a couple of inconviences though. I can't create new appointments or contacts using the Sense interface. The new contact card opens up but when I save the information, I lose the contact's name. The new appointment editor won't open at all for me. Am I missing something?

A side note, I cannot get the YouTube synchronization to login either. It always immediately returns with invalid login even though the login credentials are correct. Once again thanks. None of the things I have found are deal-breakers

I will release 1.05 soon. Still working on final optimizations and touches :) I've been working on making sure everything landscape works for this release. Especially with the new topaz manila 2.5 being almost completely ported to vga. Below are just a few screenshots of the new lockscreen ported from WVGA to VGA. Enjoy :)

Something that helped me (and some others) is to delete all your text messages if you have a lot of them on the phone. I had 2500 TXT's and it absolutely crawled/locked up in txt mode. After archiving them on myphone it's a lot faster and I've had no issues.

Re: *Updated February 3rd* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5.x ROMs

Love this ROM. It's made me like my TP again, and made waiting for the HD2 to come to Sprint (crossing my fingers) a little easier. A couple of things though. I actually happen to like the Sense music player, but when I use my bluetooth headset, it controls WMP instead. Is there a setting somewhere to configure this? Other than the aforementiones annoyance of not having missed call and VM notifications on the home screen, I am loving this ROM. Looking forward to 1.05!

Also waiting for the new rom! I've actually been driven back to my vogue for now. Put android on the wife's vogue and got interested in it myself. Maybe this new rom will pull me back to the TP and WinMo. :D

if you are having text problems, try backing up only your contacts and appointments ( no messaging) then hard reset.

I was having text problems, tried the above, now everything seems to be working fine.

This morning I started getting the following message on phone (running NFSFAN 1.04) bootup: "This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers. To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the website that you used to obtain your current beta release"

Unfortunately, this means I'm locked out of my own phone. Not so great.... Advice? Many thanks.

EDIT: After a hard reset things seem to be running ok for now.

well its just that i like having either all windows mobile, or all sense ui. its just a personal preference. also the standard windows sms windows its too bland for me. XD

the 2011 messaging covers all wm messaging, so when in sense on the messaging tab and you click "all messages" instead of the windows sms it looks fancy with the sense ui. again i just like looking hip and cool XD

with HTC Sense enabled (Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items) click on settings, then personalize. At the bottom, click on Manila Locker. That's what you're looking for.

ya NFSFAN has mentioned that before, and a good rule to follow..i only ever back up contacts and appointments. maybe thats why i havent had the issues

See i did the flash dance when moving to 1.04, backed up absolutly NO text messages, only my contacts. Hardreset, and have had text message inbox completley empty, tested this without restoring contacts and with no changes. I am fully able to recieve text messages only viewable through manilla not inbox and i am not able to send text messages to CDMA or GSM phones., flashed back to 1.03 and its flawless once agian.
