sounds great. if i find a good icon set for the rom i will let you know. Also just curious which version on Telenav (Sprint Nav) r u using on this, it is so much better than what i was running before. Good work.

Alright it looks like there might not be much point in releasing this tonight. It might just be a disservice to release another version without the changes that seem to be in such high demand.

I want to address some of your bigger concerns rather than just what programs are/are not included, and unfortunately, for that, I need a few more hours and a good night's sleep. It's 3 am! =( haha

I'll keep working on it, and release once I have more time to make substantial changes.

I tried using these instructions but unless I am totally blind, the path suggested by this writer doesn't work for me. I.e. I can't find task manager within the windows folder.

It's there, it might be a hidden file.
Trust me, Im using it right now with this very ROM.

Whatever file explorer you're using, just be sure to to let it show hidden files as well, in case that's what's preventing you from seeing it.

WAY better than software companies' releases. We would be well into Q2 of 2010 before these fixes were made.

Open File Explorer, open Menu, click View Options, then click Show All Files.

If you find out what task manager file to copy and paste please let me know because there is a couple there and I dont know which on to use...

The instructions say to use the file called (taskmgr) but I can't seem to get it to work. Plus I can't seem to find the long-hold icon he refers to, I know I've seen the long-hold icon on other ROMS.

Now if I go to Start-Settings-System-Task Manager I can pick and choose which programs I want to shut down, or I can either soft reset or fiddle around in the upper right hand corner to shut programs down running in the background.

There's too much good in this ROM to concern myself too much with what's running in the background...lol.

If im not mistaken the long hold means to hold on the file with the stylus until the copy option pops up.

Is anyone having problems using Groovefish on Empirom? It freezes when I try to search for a tune, any ideas on how to make it work correctly?

edit: I removed/deleted Groovefish from my phone and then reinstalled the updated version, working flawlessly again!

Thanks for the reply. That works but this is what I was referring to in the instructions. "I've mapped this task manager to long-hold on the talk button". On some cooked ROMS if you hold the talk button down for a second or two the task manager pops up. That's what I was trying to do.

man I'm interested in trying this ROM, but rapidshare is being a pain in the butt and keeps locking up when I try to download the ROM, and the other link just keeps timing out, anyone else having these issues?

Ive done Energy, Mighty, Caulkin, reflectionist, Juicy, and Silence and even that Mightymike/Silence collabo

No ROM has come close to speed and stabilty I found with this rom. With the exception of the lack of Long Press End Key (which is easily added with a cab install) this Rom is perfect out of the box so to speak

Not alot of junk addon software, just the stuff you need. I always go with the Tmobile style clock but thats personal asthetic choice.

I'm definitely in a Empire state of mind.

I only have one suggestion: a set of registry edits to make Bluetooth audio much better quality.

This ROM has default settings for A2DP.

Simply navigate to HKLM\Software\ Microsoft\Bluetooth\ A2DP\Settings\

Change "UseJointStereo" to 1 (from 0)
Delete the "MaxSupportedBitPool" and "BitPool" entries.

Restart the Bluetooth stack (turn Bluetooth off then back on), or soft reset the device.

Enjoy great A2DP quality!

well I finally got the ROM downloaded and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far, like was said before it has a lot of good features and it runs nicely and has some color but not over done, I only added a couple of things that I like to use like pandora, musicID and one or two other things, well done and can't wait to see more releases!

is anyone else having troubles trying to change the background? I have downloaded a couple of the panaromic backgrounds and when i install the cab and soft reset the phone it still shows the org. background? Any help would be appreicated. Thanks. BTW this ROM is the best and the fastest one that i have tried out yet. A++++

Actually, it's there, took me a while to find it.
Look under "start/settings/personal/buttons", choose "End Key" from the top scroll bar, and away you go!

OK guys here's a quick fix for the task manager not showing up in the right hand upper corner. I'm still playing around with this but it's a step in the right direction. Use at your own risk.

Run the Showcase-1.0.1b.cab file I uploaded, this will install the Showcase task manager on your phone. One draw back I've seen so far is there'll be a small square box in the upper right hand corner covering part of the clock that's there. I really don't care if the clock is there or not I might look into seeing if I can do a registry hack to remove it. Clicking on that box will bring up the Showcase task manager where you can pick and choose which programs you want to close just like before.

Also (thanks ThreeFaces) I did this:
MAPPING SHOWCASE FOR QUICK ACCESS - Go to START-SETTINGS-PERSONAL-Buttons. Here you can set a long press of the send or end keys to bring up Showcase.

I remapped the Send Key to bring up Showcase, now when I hold the Send Key for a second or so Showcase pops up and I don't have to mess with the little box in the upper right hand corner.

I take no credit for any of this it's something I've found along the way.

Edit:In the Showcase Settings there's an option to hide the homescreen icon, checking this removes the box covering the clock in the right hand corner. Perfect.

This has been discussed before in this thread. Try a program called Winrar to open the file.

Here is the one file this great ROM so needs :^)
 

This is one of the best if not the best ROM I've ever flashed on my touch pro.
It's fast, smooth and great on the battery life so THANK YOU SO MUCH for the great work. :thumbright:
However, I want to share with you all the one file this ROM so needs to be perfect. The file called "Quick Menu 2.7".
I'm sure this file is posted somewhere on this forum but to save you the hassle of searching; I attached it.
Simply install the cab to your device and run it. And whenever you need to re-open an application or close one that's running in the background just click on the upper left corner and the "Quick Menu" will appear where you can "X" out to close a running program or click on that program to re-open it.
Can't wait to re-flash your next update of this ROM and hopefully it'll feature the TF3D 2.6 Manila (with the HTC Hero like "flip clock and weather").

The only options I have to choose from for the Long Press END button is as follows;
Always display the quick list
Auto execute the selected actions;
airplane mode on/off
lock device
terminate data connection
set vibrate/ringer

I had previously set my long press send key to Tell Me, how do I set my end key to something other than the options shown above?

Unfortunately as far as I know the End Key only offers the options you listed. But if you add Showcase and follow what I posted "MAPPING SHOWCASE FOR QUICK ACCESS" you can find TellMe in the lower box and map it to something different.

Showcase 1.0.1b installs an app called Shocase settings as well.
Open that and choose hide from home screen.
The icon that overlaps the clock will become invisable.
Still there but not seen.

Oh yeah.
Click and hold the top right will bring up fast showcase just like holding the start button on 1.1.0.

Im currently running this ROm. its awesome. Is there any way to remove the 1% battery increments. Its not very accurate and feel like Its actually runnin my battery more. I read it polls the battery more which causes more battery drainage. I might be wrong though.
