Re: [110509] TopazSmoke ROM & Kitchen - (Build 21874.5.0.83) [plus Manila 2.5 beta bu
One little thing about this ROM that I love is that it shows the battery while on the today screen (or TF3D) but the time everywhere else. I seem to have screwed that part up by accidentally clicking on the "show the clock on all programs" option in "Clocks and Alarms." I unchecked the option but now it shows the battery in all screens. Is there anyway to get this back?
I checked the registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell and the "ShowTitleBarClock" is set to 0, as it was before I clicked the "show clock in all programs" option. |

I'm real happy with the last 21874 ROM but I am now tempted to try out the new (beta of course) Manila 2.5! Someone please give us updated reviews on this ROM.
Also anything new on the 11/5/09 ROM besides the TV popup? I have the ROM before that installed and running good. Thanks for your hard work Groove! tsp |

First off, I love the battery life of Topaz's roms they seem to last quite long. 2.5 is very nice, save for the footprints manila tab not working. I think I'm just going to turn that tab off everything else is very nice. Just give it a try you'll be happy.

Re: [110509] TopazSmoke ROM & Kitchen - (Build 21874.5.0.83) [plus Manila 2.5 beta bu
I'm liking the 2.5 so far. A few things i've noticed. (Like stated) When trying to send a text message i get the sim card is missing error. I tried installing the cdma fix from the 2.1 build, but it didn't seem to change anything. Landscape doesn't seem to work for me. Contacts page doesn't sync up with facebook. I like the animated weather backgrounds, but sometimes doesn't show up when scrolling back to the home page. When hitting the menu button and selecting home wallpaper -> weather wallpaper, it opens up the camera shots album. And i've only installed the rom last night, but the animated background is always clouds moving along the screen, wondering is that will change. From what i can tell, weather has not auto-updated like the 2 hour setting.
I haven't set up an email on it yet. I'm sure there are other small things here and there that are buggy, but looking forward to seeing more development on it. And so far its been very snappy and quick. |

Thanks, it works like a charm doing this. I was pulling up groupsms everytime I wanted to send a text. I forgot about this trick from when I was dealing with the rhodium manilla back when it was in beta on Merdins rom.

1st) Start --> Settings--> Connections --> Account Manager 2nd) Your Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter services are there. Log into them here and you SHOULD NOT have any problems with Facebook not logging in or linking your contacts. At least I don't anymore. For twitter you need to start typing in a tweet then click outside the text enter box and click back inside and the send button shows up. I think that's just a bug with the ported 2.5 Manila.
