Comm Manager? Just because it's connected, doesn't mean that data is being sent, which is what would drain your battery. If you are seeing the connection arrown, that's standard wm6.5 taskbar icon behavior.

i'm sort of a noob when it comes to touch pro kitchens and its really really hard to understand the first post for the ervius kitchen, the first link says its just an exe only and its 7mb? is the kitchen supposed to be that small, where do i stick the 3 extracted zips from the attached txt?, would it be possible for u to just rar a fresh kitchen with all the stuff in the right place so all i have to do is download 1 rar, unzip, then open the vk?
Download the kitchen tools here (I prefer 1.8.1):
http://www.sendspace.com/file/o9y9vf

Then make a new folder, and extract the kitchen tools, and all of the folders in my link to the new folder you created. Done. Put the RomSaved file in TOOLS>RomSaved. Run the kitchen .exe file and you're in business.

This TellMe app is pretty cool. Works good for texting while driving.

Thats the thing, when i look into Comm Manager, it is highlited and on. I do see the arrows and other Roms i have used when not in connection there were no arrows, are u saying ur Rom is different (just so i am understanding correctly) Also, i have nothing added or running and my battery has dropped 20% in an hour. I could be wrong but to me it seems that the connection is on and open but i cant see what for, as soon as i soft reboot or disconnect the data it comes right back on. Any ideas?

I don't have any issue with data turning back on, unless my device is checking for email or something. Maybe something you installed or a weather or push internet setting you enabled.

The one thing that may be different about my rom, is that I don't use the CDMA_RSSI dll so that I can get the nice signal bars in the taskbar. That does cause the lit arrows when data connected however. That doesn't mean data is sending nesessarly though.

Re: [102809] TopazSmoke ROM & Kitchen (Build 21872.5.0.71) now with TellMe

Man, I've only had this ROM flashed for about 15 minutes, and it looks great. I flashed back to bone stock Sprint 6.1 ROM first (almost forgot how lame that was). Can't wait to use all the cool extras, if I could just get it to stop powering off every time I try to run Microsoft MyPhone! I'm going to have to turn off the auto sync, if I can't get this worked out. Anyone else have a cure for the shutting off by itself while running this, or another program? Oh, yeah, and that TellMe, GREAT addition!

Is there a way to map the press and hold of the end key to another function, i.e. file manager, SMS, screen rotation, TellMe, etc? Some ROMs give us the option to change multiple hardware key long-presses, but I've also seen a long press of the end key automatically over ridden by the system's function for airplane/vibrate/etc. mode.

I really want to love this ROM, but I just had to reset from a frozen screen. (and I have fat fingers, so the 6.5.1 fatty buttons at the bottom of the screen are missed)

Please don't take this as a downer, I have a huge appreciation for everyone who spends the time to make all these ROMs we keep flashing between!

Re: [102809] TopazSmoke ROM & Kitchen (Build 21872.5.0.71) now with TellMe

i got a few bugs to report, not sure if im the only one but:

1. i have no bluetooth icons on my taskbar, it is enabled in comm manager but no easy way to see if its connected to my headset, i image the bt_on, etc bmps are probably missing from the windows folder

2. in manila settings tab, under the sound option the single volume toggle doesnt do anything, i'd like to have a single common volume instead of system and ring

3. i cant get the sip keys when pressed to vibrate, i enabled the option in settings...personal...input options but nothing.

other than that this rom is rocking so far, love the 420 bookmarks in opera, seems like i could read everything on those 2 sites alone for days
