Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6

I know I can always run ICS manually. Can I still at least make it ask for activesync or mass storage by checking that box? I could easily live with that. Half the time if I selected tethering it wouldn't connect and I'd have to disconnect and reconnect the cable. So I guess it's not a big deal at all. I think I'll take the plunge.

Yes, if you check the box it will ask you what you want to do every time you plug it into a pc.

Well I flashed to it from MR6 final. Hopefully it behaves better over time than MR6 final did for me. So far so good.

were you trying to tether with a computer that already had an active network connection with an ip assigned for internet traffic? if so, disable the adapter and tether again so that you only have one active adapter (this now being your phone) and you should be able to use the interwebs

It was the way the phone handled it. I think the way ICS is supposed to work is you press connect THEN plug in the USB. But when you plug in and get that screen that I had in MightyROM and I selected tethering, half the time it wouldn't work properly and give an error. A reliable way to make it work was to unplug the USB after ICS loaded, then press connect, and plug in the cable. The Mightyrom way attempted to connect while the cable was already plugged in, which confused it somehow...but not all the time.

On the computer IP issue, windows will happily allow multiple outgoing connections, though I am not sure how it would decide to use one vs the other.
