Re: New sprint oem rom!!

ActiveSync is evil - I say it again. I flash through the SD card, and PIMBackup saves my steak.

Indeed, so far so good. Minimal usage for today as far as phone calls and nets but tons of soft resets, installs and ihst. It seems that the combo of radio, tweaks is helping out the batty which is all I really care about. I am all optimistic and recommend this upgrade.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

I sync via Bluetooth. No go. I then attempted to do it via USB cable and though recognized, et cetera, no go. On the SD method, which I used extensively with Palm OS, what are the steps?

With Palm it was: copy everything off the card, execute a quick format, copy the files to the card, push the card in to the slot and off it went.

The files of interest would they be PPST_090522_HermannC_2.34_delta.sa.CAB and RUU_signed.rbh?

Thank you.

Re: New sprint oem rom!!

Another happy fix in this ROM is that Call Announce through Voice Command finally works properly without tweaks...

...But, "properly" is relative: I had Voice Command settings under Notifications button to "Announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free only" with "Only during free time" (a setting I don't understand) checked - yet, with my BT headset powered on and working it still came out of the phone's speaker.

I unchecked the "Only during free time" box in the hopes that will help, but haven't been able to test if it's helped yet. Any advice?

I could be wrong, but I believe this is in reference to your calendar. Just like you can set your ringer to "automatic" where it just rings when you don't have something scheduled and marked as "busy". I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing that it is the same here.

I beleive it is reference to if you are in call or on internet and not calendar.

extract the exe with WinRAR or similar, to wherever you want. Then you'll have all the files.

Mucho thanks. I can't believe I didn't try to use winrar/winace to extract the exe.
