Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6
I was able to upgrade the ROM today. The problem I was experiencing initially was failure to connect. After changing to a different USB port, the installation went like a breeze.

yup, USB-FAIL. reminds me of betamax/vhs firewire should have won and everyone else should have worked on making something better than bluetooth.

Tethering Tip For This Stock ROM.....
I was unable to get this rom to tether up successfully using HTC Wifi Internet Sharing Utility, so I tried the utility in the following post and it's working. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...5&postcount=13 I should mention that BEFORE installing the program above...I installed HTC_CM_Killer from this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88014 Also...the Sprint Touchpro Cleanup tweaksonly from this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44583 Your mileage may vary Good luck pt

Re: New OEM Sprint rom V. 2.01.651.6
I installed the new ROM and so far it is working well and it's pretty snappy. However, I believe something changed in the handling of dialing pause/wait functions. With the original stock ROM, if I inserted a "w" in a number to dial, the dialer would wait for me to press the phone key to send the remaining of the number (e.g. an extension number). With the new ROM, once it gets to the waiting point, if I press the phone key, it starts a new call instead of dialing the rest of the number, and so far I have not found a way to make it work. Has anyone else tried this?
UPDATE: Figured it out. After restoring my data, ActiveSync changed the "w" for "W", which is not recognized by the dialer. The pause/wait letters for the dialer all need to be lower caps. Last edited by cuellarm; 10-02-2009 at 03:19 PM. Reason: Fix found |
